    Woodbine will host its last ever harness meet this winter. In 2018 the Standardbreds move to Mohawk where they will race year round. Woodbines harness track will be converted to another turf course. So Toronto will not have any Standardbred raciing within city limits. Greenwood closed in 1993 and harness racing shifted to Woodbine/Mohawk from Greenwood/Mohawk.

    I can't really say I've seen much of Chicago, driven through it a couple of times. Toronto is a great city. In so many ways. You'd have to visit to see for yourself. The basics - Toronto much safer, cleaner, more multicultural with lots to see and do. Toronto > Chicago in population and has a much lower murder rate. The movie "Chicago" was filmed in Toronto.
