I was surprised that video poker was +EV on some machines. I can never sit still that long, so I'm not a guy who can take advantage of it. I was also surprised when I calced the odds on many of the promotions in the Local's casinos in Vegas to be +EV. Folks like Fishy live off this stuff. Just got to keep your eyes open if you live in this town.

Do you use Kelly criterion or flat bet?

BTW, when I say "universe" I mean there is some practical scientific reason that this shit happens. I just don't know enough to get my finger on it... -

We use trends...but we combine 'em up in a very statistical way...99.99% of folks don't know how to combine stuff correctly...even the classical Frequentist Statisticians don't know how. Bayesian Statisticians do... ...when you boil it down, everything we cook out of a db is a "trend" -
My room: http://www.trumphotelcollection.com/las-vegas/las-vegas-luxury-hotel.php BTW, although that shot is from the back on the hotel, my room has just about the same view

unfortunately, it is the realm in which we sports bettors operate. You think "bad beat"...I think "the universe is fvcking with me again" -
Well, asking 'em to show you their tits is not exactly the best pick up line...and dickering with 'em over how much is really over the line.

Yes, I believe this also. I thought a one time it could be weather as you sometime get a massive front moving through the east coast when there are a lot of NFL games going on, for example. Then the black swan hits on a day that is clear and mild. clunk. it might be like Quantum mechanics. No one understand that either. Maybe the vibe is tunneling through everyone like an increase in neutrinos or negative ions or "dark energy"...wtf is that? There is some truly weird shit going on in science these days. That fvcker Einstein opened up a can of worms. -

This is a good point, the energy released is one thing, the actual motion is really quite another. Ground you are standing can also make a huge difference. In the Northridge, the vibration bounced around underground and refocused in another area (I think Santa Monica) due to the rubble filled valleys that forms the LA basin... ...I'm glad i'm in Lost Wages -

I'm seeing 6.0 reported. Probably not that bad in San Fran, but you put a 6.0 right under you, it can kill people... ...but it's not "the big one" -
