  1. Not generally a fan of these, but this one wasn't bad. Enjoy your stay (and take it easy on the Meatman, lol).
  2. Monmouth - Race 7 #9 Biedermeier (6/1 ml) Been waiting on this guy to turn up for a couple of weeks now. 3yo firster for Pletcher was involved in a 3-horse team drill from the gate back on 7/19 with 2yo barnmate Bullheaded Boy and a Graham Motion trainee named Strong Coffee. Both of those horses came out of that drill to win their respective debuts. In addition, Pletcher snuck a similar-type horse over to Monmouth last weekend (Chase Lane) to win @ 5/1 odds (that one had worked from the gate with the above-mentioned Blame Jim several weeks back). This is also the longer half of an uncoupled entry (Pletcher also trains #8 Cosmo Blue, 3/1 ml), and Pletcher definitely has a history of winning with the longer half in such instances. Speaking of which, Biedermeier and Cosmo Blue just worked h/u together @ Monmouth in preparation for this race, so there's really no reason at all why Biedermeier should be listed at twice the price of his entrymate. Good value here.
  3. No dice on Back Flip. Went off @ a nice 7/2, but never really ran a step.
  4. Saratoga - Race 5 #7 Back Flip (3/1 ml) Pletcher 2yo comes off a heads-up drill with Blame Jim, who was one of the most impressive 2yo winners of the meet so far. She also worked h/u back on July 24 with Feathered, who came out of that drill to run second by a head (in 1:10.55) a couple of weks ago. Nice price here too, as she current sits @ 4/1 with about 15 mtp.
  5. You can make a strong case that the Nationals' trio should be Fister/Zimmermann/Roark . I certainly wouldn't start Strasburg on the road (home era 2.41, road era 4.77). I'm sure they'll throw him regardless, but i can see using him out of the bullpen instead. What say you?
  6. Facebook and Twitter? How about before the internet? It really wasn't all that long ago...plenty of NFL seasons were played before that. Yep, today's athletes are definitely under the spotlight more than ever before.
  7. Manziel doesn't strike me as being dumb. We shall see.
  8. I'm on the super-obvious Price/Felix UNDER 6.5, -110 Very small total for any game in Detroit, but deservedly so, i think. Would expect nothing less than a top-notch effort from both of those guys tonight. Should be a great game to watch.
  9. I'm looking for a gambling forum minus all the loudmouths and drama. Hope this is it.
