  1. The NFL Draft begins tonight and will be televised Thursday night,Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Good chance as many as 4 QBs could go in top ten Last year Stroud went to Houston as first QB taken. Anthony Richardson went third to Indy. The surprise of the night was Will Levis falling into second round to Titans. All three QBs were drafted by AFC South teams.
  2. Can’t wait for Biden to be done as President Ridiculous how everything has doubled or tripled in price due to inflation Even folks who voted for Biden have to see the out of control costs of living. Sadly some will vote for him knowing full well he is bad for the economy and will keep raising prices.
  3. I’ve always liked it here and been here pretty much from the beginning of the forum. Was at EOG for years then when I came here I stuck around. A cool place where everyone is free to share their opinions.
  4. Same here.... Alice In Chains and Pantera were the two new bands in that time frame that i really liked. The 90's grunge thing as a whole was kinda boring and when you compare that to the bigger bands from the 1980's like Van Halen the stuff from the prior decade was way more enjoyable not only musically but in concert as well.
  5. Going all the way back to the nineties i have always stood firm on my feelings regarding Alice In Chains as i felt like they were a hundred times better than Nirvana and way more talented as well. The media overexposed the hell out of Nirvana and the critics kissed their ass hailing Cobain the leader and spokesman of a generation which was pure horseshit. Alice In Chains music was awesome and although both bands had around the same amount of recorded material the fact remains that AIC is simply better
  6. Yep and only 8 players in NFL history have rushed for over 2,000 yards in a season 1973--O.J. Simpson Bills 2,003 yds 1984--Eric Dickerson Rams 2,105 yds 1997--Barry Sanders Lions 2,053 yds 1998--Terrell Davis Broncos 2,008 yds 2003--Jamaal Lewis Ravens 2,066 yds 2009--Chris Johnson Titans 2,006 yds 2012--Adrian Peterson Vikings 2,097 yds 2020--Derrick Henry Titans 2,027 yds Eric Dickerson has the most yards ever in a season with 2,105 yds and back in 2012 Adrian Peterson was just 9 yards from breaking Dickerson's record. The NFL record for most yards ever gained from scrimmage in an a season is held by Chris Johnson in 2009 with 2,509 yards in a season. No other player besides CJ has over 2,500 yds in a single season Tennessee Titans are the only NFL team with two 2,000 yards rushers Chris Johnson and Derrick Henry Ironically with there now being 17 and in future possibly even 18 games in a season it won't be long before we see another 2,000 yard rusher. Simpson is the first of the eight 2,000 yard rushers to pass away....
  7. Thanks, I was wondering what happened. Good he is doing well....
  8. Both St Louis and Memphis will be really impacted by a potential quake. Hoping it will be many years from now before it happens.
  9. The NFL Draft is 3 weeks away. Thursday April 25 through Saturday April 27
  10. Will be interesting to see how Harbaugh does with Chargers The Commanders are building a team that will be good and they just hired a really good GM it seems they finally getting that franchise going in the right direction after years of Snyder and his dysfunctional bullshit. The Seahawks traded for the Commanders QB Sam Howell although he is young once he gets settled he is gonna be good. Atlanta looking good especially on offense and now they got Cousins. Whats crazy is Falcons got Cousins, Saints have Derek Carr and the Bucs have Baker Mayfield. Lots of vet QBs in the NFC South. Panthers looked terrible last year even Bryce Young. Texans were really smart in getting Stroud as he clearly looks better than Young. Although he dropped to second round Levis looked pretty good with Titans last year. The Colts new QB Anthony Richardson its hard to gauge his play last year mostly underwhelming.
  11. Going to be really bad when a quake does hit here in Memphis. Memphis is sitting right on top of the New Madrid fault line. Scientists are saying it will likely be 8.0 or worse when it hits. The amount of destruction will be astronomical and many buildings and bridges here are most likely not quakeproof.
  12. What ever happen to Sol?? Haven't seen him in a long while...
  13. The first one is an Atari 2600, the other is either a 5200 or 7800 Atari. Had them all in the mid eighties as a kid and had a lot of fun. The graphics got much better on the 5200 and then on the 7800 they improved again. In fact i was impressed on the 7800 as the Ms Pac Man was pretty much identical to the arcade. Also had Q-Bert i loved that a lot as well.
  14. Yeah there are plenty of good places to live here and most of the crime is in the poor section of the city. Where i live there is hardly ever any issues and for the most part quiet. Another thing i really like is although it gets a bit cool during the winter months it only snows one time a year here. I absolutely hate when it snows here everyone races to the grocery and nothing is hardly left. Jerry Lawler lives a few minutes away from where i do and i see him at the Kroger grocery store quite often. Saw him a while back at Dollar Tree and everyone in there was trying to talk to him you could tell he was a bit uncomfortable as one middle aged black lady kept grabbing his arm it even made me uncomfortable.
  15. Memphis gets a bad name because of the crime but thats mainly in the bad areas There are plenty of places here that are really good and its one of the most affordable to live in as well. Lots to do here, casinos nearby, they have all kinds of things to do,NBA team Grizzlies. As far as eating there are plenty of outstanding places also
  16. WOW, ,Man i love all those and grew up playing those all the time. Outrun is one of my all time faves. I could play up to an hour on Ms Pac Man back in the day that was another fave. I loved Paperboy as well that was a lot of fun. My first console was an Atari i got in '83 on my birthday BUT my all time favorite was the first Nintendo i was in heaven when that came out stuff like Zelda,Metroid just blew the competition out of the water.
  17. Crazy but i actually remember the day it happened. Cant believe its already been 30 damn years ago, time fuckin flies Never was real crazy about grunge/alternative as i was a big fan of 80's and 70's rock and grew up during the 1980's era that had stuff like Van Halen,Ozzy Osbourne,AC/DC,Guns N Roses,Def Leppard,Motley Crue,Whitesnake, etc. The eighties blew the nineties away in terms of entertainment such as live shows, albums, bands, etc Most of the 90's bands sucked ass live and couldn't put shows on. When KISS reunited in 1996 they were they sold out everywhere
  18. Never realized this until now. Bizarre. A crazy fan killed John Lennon December 8, 1980 and then exactly 24 years later Dimebag Darrell was killed by a Crazy fan on December 8,2004
  19. For years there have been rumors he was about to leave Courtney and so she killed him and made it look like a suicide. If you look at that whole investigation and the things that happen there were a lot of off the wall things that happened and the cops didnt jack shit as far as seriously investigating the whole thing.
  20. Agree, I think Staley and Alice In Chains were way better than all the other alternative bands at that time including Nirvana. Nirvana were so damn overrated by the rock media. Dirt is better than Nevermind
  21. There seems to be earthquakes that happen around the time of eclipses. In 1811 the Missouri and Tennessee area were hit by one of the deadliest earthquakes in history. They dont know when but for years there has been reports that this area will be hit again in the future by another deadly earthquake. Crazy that here in Memphis the damage will be massive as it sits right on the faultline. St Louis will likely suffer mass damage as well.
  22. 4.8 Earthquake hits New York Area And.... 5 small earthquakes 3 yesterday and 2 this morning have hit the New Madrid fault in Missouri,Tennessee
