So do you realize how high priced food would be if chemicals and commercial fertilizer was not used and everything was organic? It would be cost prohibitive to eat. I applaud you for trying to do your part in keeping small family farms in business but it is such a small % and most have other jobs and do the livestock as a sidelight. Less than 1% of beef slaughtered is grass fed.

They should be able to know if it's grass fed. If it's so tough you need to cut it with a chainsaw it's grass fed. The high prices for organic food is such a joke. If people that pay the high prices really knew how "stringent" the regulations for making it classified as organic are they would think twice.

Number 1.......most of what you eat are not cows. You eat younger beef cattle......steers and heifers. Old cows might not have many teeth because they are old....not because of antibiotics. Younger beef are more tender and generally way better taste and quality. If we were eating "cows" we wouldn't be eating much beef because it would be tough as leather and the demand wouldn't be there. More cancer from processed foods than from beef. My grandparents and their generations ate meat 3 meals a day and their was hardly any cancer in those days. Hardly any processed foods then......no Diet Cokes. Just like anything on the internet there are videos to show your point of view. I can guarantee you the beef cattle are alive and vibrant right up to the moment they are slaughtered.
