plommer
Plommer definitely a homer. Whaddya mean? Gretzky played for the Oilers of Edmonton. I grew up in Toronto as a Leafs fan, he and his Oilers trounced the Leafs for years. Games were won by the Oilers 10 minutes in to the 1st period most games. The Leafs stunk and Gretzky killed us. I enjoyed Gretzky when he wasn't playing the Leafs and very much when he played for Team Canada. Didn't like him much when he was a King or a Ranger, felt like he was too whiny (to the refs) in the later stages of his career.

plommer
only player in all of sports to have his number retired league wide. My favourite stat still is that he scored 2 shorthanded goals on the same power play. The guy was on the ice for 45 seconds and his team was down a man and he still manages to score twice. Unbelievable.
