So it could be argued that more laws that only the law abiding people will follow isn't the answer. In a perfect world? I would take all the assault type guns off the streets. But that can't be done What I due find interesting is that quite often the choice of weapon is an assault style rifle. In most cases more carriage could be done with a simple shot gun loaded with XX buck. But IMO assault type rifles are used do to the video game age. Its what is used in the games, so its what killers use as well. I have many guns, and of the rifles the most lethal is a simple marlin hunting rifle, wood stock looks very normal. I have multiple 30 round clips for it. Gun looks like a normal varmit gun, but is bad ass. I can and have bump shot it from the hip where you allow the recoil of the gun to engage the trigger (takes a while to get the handle of) and the gun will fire 25+ rounds in 15 secs. Flawless, time after time. Guns now are often judged by how they look, not what they can do. Which reminds me, I was once told by a Def attorney, that if you have a gun to protect your self do NOT USE a modern looking all black synthetic stick MODERN looking gun. Because the gun will be shown to the jury. you want a wooden stock, blued barrel hunting looking gun, to appear sympathetic. I am of the believe that a major part of the problem are video games. They glorify death and desensitize death . But back to your question. No clue. But I do know as a peoples we DO NEED to find an answer. having children killed while at school, and people killed while at the DR is horrible. HORRIBLE. If part of the solution means there are certain guns I can't own, so be it. If part of the solution is that it's harder to purchase ammo or guns, so be it. We all know that's virtually impossible. If you take something away crazy people will just use something else to kill. You would only be taking away the people's right to protect their selves. IMO. Bombs take time to make and in most cases prior to bomb being made the person has calmed down. also a bomb made by most people will kill others within a very small range (size of a mini van) where as a gun will kill within 50 yards and as people are moving away from the killer.
