maron
Considerable pressure is on to have OKLA dowgraded to #5 if the following happens Alabama and CLemson win More than one member of committee ready to downgrade OKLA for not having B12 championship game rumor is that Ohio state gets the spot
Guest boatboatboat
so Big 12 doesn't have a title game and that is a MINUS Ohio state doesn't qualify to play in title game and that is a POSITIVE BRILL-YANT!
Big Bear
good Baylor looking less and less like a quality win for Oklahoma. Bama , Stanford, and Clemson may all lose today anyway
tripp
good Baylor looking less and less like a quality win for Oklahoma. Bama , Stanford, and Clemson may all lose today anywayThey are playing with a WR at QB, this game has nothing to do with how good Baylor is
maron
not having a conference championship is horrible for a power five conference and is considered to be a voluntary downgrade goes to strength of schedule and considering it as a loss
Big Bear
well Baylor looks like shit today against a horrible team. Oklahoma's biggest claim to fame is they beat Baylor. (albeit against Baylors back up QB) The TCU win by 1 point against a 3rd string QB does not impress anybody.
Brick
Oklahoma -260 to not with the ncaa championship. They will not get bumped to 5 though.
maron
if they qualify they should be forced to be the four seed because no conference championship
Brick
odds dropping like crazy on ohio st though, wish i grabbed some at 32-1 a week ago
maron
do most see the Big Ten or Big 12 as stronger conference?
Big Bear
Bob Stoops has struggled in big games the committee must also take this into account Blowouts are bad for TV thankfully we dont have to see Notre Dame get embarrased by Alabama again. Big Bear
do most see the Big Ten or Big 12 as stronger conference?Big 10 by far. Big 12 plays no defense whatsoever.
maron
the conjecture was the placement of the #4 Iowa and #5 MSU was to hype ratings for a national quarterfinal game and that the #3-5 teams were placed there based on that ...B10 champion slots in at #3.... Stanford can not make it in over Ohio State because Northwestern beat the Cardinal More people would want to see a defending national champion play than a one loss team that did not play in a conference championship either... that the B12 does not have one is their own fault and they should accept the downgrade of schedule
Sol Diabler
It happened to TCU last year after they won by 40+. TCU was also the 3 seed at this exact point a yr ago. Wouldn't surprise me to see it happen again.

Wouldn't surprise me to see it happen again.difference is Ohio St moved past them based on a 50+ pt conf title win. Ohio St is not jumping a bunch of spots on a bye week when they didnt even make their conf title game Oklahoma is in. Thats a done deal. Hell you could have taken the field -350 vs them to win the title this week (they were the 2nd fav after Bama who was +130) Ohio St might get in but they need help. They aren jumping teams without some upsets
FrogFries
Oklahoma is safe @ 3 or
Guest boatboatboat
I think its possible for OSU to get in with no upsets this weekend if MSU wood sheds Iowa by 24 or more
Brick
In that case it would be Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, Mich st. Where does Ohio St. fit? I cant see oklahoma getting thrown out, and it definately doesnt look that way accoriding to the books.
trytrytry
funny thread . good chance after today they are the 2 seed
Guest boatboatboat
I think while unlikely it's possible OSU would jump OKLA. The 2 pt loss to MSU in a winter hurricane wouldn't look as bad if MSU wins by 30. Oak loses to a sub par texas team OSU loses to a great MSU team (if they fuck stomp Iowa). Would seem to me OSU's body of work would be better than Oaks
Big Bear
funny thread . good chance after today they are the 2 seedmaybe if Alabama loses. Baylor losing really hurts Oklahoma's resume.
trytrytry
might hurt the 2nd seed over unbeaten iowa, OK is SOLID they have a win at Tennessee most important when it matters a series of late season wins over TCU, OK St, and Baylor and the eye test also. 2nd place seating after NC beats Clemson today I think. ohio st has one very very very good win vs michigan last game. and they make it in if NC beats Clemson but not a leapfrog situation at all. bama vs ohio stOklahoma vs Iowa (in my opinion) - i guess 2 and 3 seed really makes not difference anyway other than calling the coin flip. should be interesting.
