NES
I created and maintain a few pages and one in particular is starting to take off. So far it has over 8000 followers but can see that number easily doubling over the next 6 months. Anyone ever turned a profit from the FB? po69
I have made some money on youtube, Once you have a video that hits at least 5000 views, then you cant start making money on any other hits on the video
KingRevolver
I've tried doing it with YouTube, since you basically choose to either monetize your video or not (I said what the heck, just click yes) but haven't made a penny. WVU
what does it mean to monetize a FB page? You get paid per hits? Please explain. I never knew how it all worked
po69
My daughter has made some money on youtube from monetizing. She has videos geared to teenage girls. She is a singer and gives makeup tips and other advice. She is 13 now and has done this since she was 11. She doesn't make a lot of money but some months she will make $400-500 a month depending on how many new videos that she makes. She has over 14000 subscribers to her channel. She has met some of the biggest money makers on youtube at this youtube convention that I took her too. For her, meeting those people was better than when she met Taylor Swift. She doesn't like country music so meeting Taylor Swift wasn't that big of a deal, but meeting some of the youtube stars was really a big deal for her. Most of these stars make around $50000-200,000 a year from youtube. But youtube makes a shitload from them as well. Some of the main ones make more than $400,000 a year just from posting videos on youtube. kingrevolver, if you don't get at least 10,000 views from your videos then you wont get paid a dime

NES
what does it mean to monetize a FB page? You get paid per hits? Please explain. I never knew how it all worked It would more likely be through advertising than per hit. My page is related to skating even though I cant skate to save my life I wanted to do a page about something that was relevant and popular. I was thinking maybe I could get paid by someone who wants to do some targeted advertising at some point.
