Sol Diabler
Only 3 preseason games. 17 regular season games. Every team gets 2 bye weeks instead of one. Every team will play one neutral site game per year. Could be in London. Toronto. Mexico City. Or even in non NFL cities in the US like Portland, Lincoln NE, etc. You like? I do. KingRevolver
Is the neutral field thing serious? That's very interesting. Overall I don't mind those supposed changes.

Viejo Dinosaur
Great ideas Diabler, but 16 games is the max I think.....with only a few preseason games, there would be a lot more busting ass on the practice field and maybe more injuries..... Gamblin Again
definitely like the preseason reduced to 3 instead of 4.. nothing more annoying than women posting how bad they want their team to 'win' in preseason games, especially Weeks 1 and 2.. theyve usually lost interest by Week 3 or 4 though, LoL
easygoer
Agree 100% with 3 preseason games. Nothing worse than losing a key player for the season before it even starts. Love the format of all the other stuff. I love the idea of neutral sites. Bringing NFL games to non NFL cities. Lincoln, Ne, Baton Rouge,La. Cities like these are great college football cities. Would sell out easily.
Deal With It
I like all the ideas posted. The neutral field thing is probably going to be to much of a headache to make it a long term reality. Coaches prefer 100% home games
Mike75
The NFL is supposedly going to be adding one more playoff team to the AFC and one more playoff team to the NFC bringing the total to make the postseason to 14 from 12 starting in 2015. tripp
Dont mind any of those changes. In fact I like them all. I still think there will eventually (how soon I dont know) be non USA teams like London and Toronto with their own teams in the NFL. Not sure any city could sustain enough interest to keep selling out neutral site games with no hope of ever getting a local team of their own to root for I havent seen that 17 game number before, thought all the talk for the past few years was an 18 game schedule? That's just erasing revenue for the teams and that is not happening. Players are also paid for 20 games so if you reduce preseason games you reduce their contracts by at least 5% If they reduce preseason games it will only be to add more reg season matchups, only way it happens

I originally didn't like the extra wild card teams in baseball, but kinda like it now Definitely like the 4 teams for college football, not just because Phil Steele printed out the same thing over and over in his magazine..but he had logical points about the meaning of the regular season versus watering the regular season down..I think 4 is just right But I don't like this idea at all for NFL...I know teams get hot and come together sometimes at the end of the year, but just seems wrong to add another two. But hey NFL is about entertainment and money, more than 'sport' anyway...so probably will happen
StayGolden
how would 7 playoff teams from each conference work ? not possible unless you are giving the #1 seed 3 bye's and they are just playing in the AFC championship game
Gamblin Again
the 6th and 7th 'seed' would play each other to advance and then be the 6th team in .I suppose

KingRevolver
The biggest thing that should be done is reducing preseason games from four to three, and adding an extra regular season game.

WeinkeToWarrick
The extra bye week would be the only bad thing as a fantasy football participant...it's hard enough to plan a roster with one bye per season! But you have to give these guys an extra bye if you add another game, imo.
Sol Diabler
I think the one game at a neutral site idea is pretty cool. No team would then have to give up a home game to go play in London. Plus great football areas across the country would have a chance to have an NFL game in their city 1x per year. You know that shit would sell out and be a huge hit.

Brutus Buckeye
They need to expand to other cities and not only London. Overall it appears the NFL wants to rebrand their product.
