Can't say I really disagree with the four they have in. I would have Oregon in over one of either Auburn/Ole Miss personally, but can understand the reasoning for the four they have chosen

Obviously things will change tons between now and the actual playoffs though. FSU loses thursday and they might be out for good (doubt ACC gets much respect from the committee so 1 loss TCU, Kan St or Mich St would likely leapfrog them and stay ahead of them for good if they win out). Miss St, Ole Miss, Auburn and Bama still have tons of games against each other. Will be tough to stay in the playoffs with 2 losses so Miss St the only team of the bunch that can likely survive a slip up in the second half of the season

Alabama would be favored over all 4 on a neutral field

Don't disagree with that but also cant make the playoff decisions based on that fact. If that was the only criteria Bama would be in the title game every single season as they'd always be favored over everyone else pretty much

At this point i think the top four (plus oregon) all have better resumes than Bama. Bama wins out though and of course they will 100% be in the playoffs.

Interesting I guess for discussion purposes' date=' but really means nothing at this point in the season.[/quote']

means a ton if you are a 1 loss team and win out.

how many are ahead of you is a HUGE deal right now.

Normally this is true but the thing is a lot of these teams still have games left vs each other (mainly all the SEC west teams that are stacking up the top 6). They all have h2h matchups against each other, meaning someone has to lose. There's no way we see three from the SEC west all finish in the playoffs by the end of the reg season (unless craziness happens and we have 2 loss teams in the playoffs)

Will be interesting down the stretch. Still a million things that could change
