The biggest change comes on defense, where the departure of Aqib Talib was reduced to an afterthought with the signing of Darrelle Revis. New England now boasts a trio of corners the equal of any in the AFC with Revis beside Alfonzo Dennard and former Seahawk Brandon Browner (post-suspension). The Patriots won't be tortured through the air this season.

Last year's troubles along the defensive line will be helped by the return of a healthy Vince Wilfork and the drafting of tackle Dominique Easley. The rookie displayed streaks of three-technique dominance at Florida, but he's just eight months removed from an ACL tear and likely to see limited work out of the gate.

Against expectations, New England didn't draft depth at tight end. If Rob Gronkowski is slow to return from knee surgery, look for the Pats to consider free agent Dustin Keller as a pass-catching threat alongside Michael Hoomanawanui. This attack wasn't the same without Gronk in the fold in 2013.

If he can fend off young Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson, former Panthers wideout Brandon LaFell has a solid shot at earning the No. 3 spot behind Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola. This group lacks star power, but Tom Brady has made it work with less in years past.

Ryan Mallett won't be on this roster come September. After New England drafted Brady's heir apparent in rookie Jimmy Garoppolo, Mallett -- entering his walk year -- will be shopped in a hurry if injuries render an opponent desperate at the position..Vegas released NFL season win totals for New England at 10.5..........

No team in the division has undergone more change than the Jets -- especially on offense, where veteran quarterback Michael Vick was signed to push second-year passer Geno Smith. Gang Green continues to talk up Smith's progress, but we see Vick as the Week 1 starter without hesitation. After adding so many parts on offense, Vick gives New York a better chance to win right away.

Whoever starts under center will hand the ball off to a combination of Chris Ivory and the newly signed Chris Johnson. If Johnson and Ivory can stay healthy, coach Rex Ryan finally has the horses to return to his beloved ground-and-pound past.

We expected New York to use a high pick on a receiver, but they opted instead for "move" tight end Jace Amaro. I like the selection and expect the former Texas Tech weapon to see plenty of targets in the passing game. At wideout, Eric Decker makes more sense as a No. 2 target, but he's an immediate upgrade over Jeremy Kerley and the unnerving Stephen Hill, the latter who might tumble from the starting lineup if he continues to disappoint.

Defensive linemen Muhammad Wilkerson, Damon "Snacks" Harrison and Sheldon Richardson remain in place as one of the NFL's nastiest three-man fronts. In the new-look secondary, Ryan already has fallen in love with hammer-dropping rookie safety Calvin Pryor, who should make an immediate impact against the run. At cornerback, Antonio Cromartie is out the door, leaving Dee Milliner as a starter across from Dimitri Patterson.

Tajh Boyd was a curious pick in Round 6. Don't be surprised if he never starts a game for this team..Vegas released NFL season win totals for N.Y. Jets at 7..........

Sacked a league-worst 59 times last season, nobody was happier than Ryan Tannehill to see Miami land bookend Branden Albert in free agency. The team also signed former Rams guard Shelley Smith, who projects as a No. 1 alongside center Mike Pouncey, the only returning starter from last season's on-field train wreck. With third-round pick Billy Turner slotted at right guard and No. 19 overall pick Ja'Wuan James penciled in at tackle, Miami is starting over up front.

Along the defensive line, the Dolphins re-signed tackle Randy Starks to a two-year, $12 million deal, but let the underrated Paul Soliai flee to the Falcons. This unit still has depth with Jared Odrick inside and Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon rushing the passer.

Re-signing Brent Grimes was a no-brainer after he finished last season as one of the league's top corners. With Nolan Carroll joining the Eagles and Dimitri Patterson landing with the Jets, Miami now looks to free-agent acquisition Cortland Finnegan and second-year man Jamar Taylor to bolster its secondary behind a safety duo of Reshad Jones and the hard-hitting Louis Delmas, formerly of the Lions.

Once the subject of trade whispers, Dion Jordan's role will be watched closely. After a disappointing, injury-marred rookie campaign, the Dolphins pass rusher is 100 percent healthy and a solid bet to improve on his roughly 20 snaps per game from last season.Vegas released NFL season win totals for Miami at 8..........

Newly aquired first rounder Sammy Watkins with Robert Woods and the newly acquired Mike Williams gives the Bills one of the AFC's more intriguing collection of pass-catchers. That group won't include Stevie Johnson, who was shipped to the 49ers hours after the drafting of Watkins.

Buffalo overspent for free agent Chris Williams, who takes over at left guard, before finding its new right tackle in rookie Cyrus Kouandjio. After failing multiple team physicals with an arthritic knee, the former first-team All-American from Alabama looms as a boom-or-bust prospect for a line that allowed an outrageous 48 sacks last season, fourth-worst in the NFL.

The Patriots had their fill of Brandon Spikes, but the productive linebacker makes Buffalo's nasty front seven an even bigger headache. Paired next to last season's Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate in Kiko Alonso, Spikes might be the league's top run-stuffer at his position. The Bills can't expect Da'Norris Searcy to duplicate the play of ball-hawking free safety Jairus Byrd, who held quarterbacks to a passer rating of 35.0 last season, second best in the NFL.

So much hinges on EJ Manuel. Injuries and inconsistent play washed away his rookie campaign, but if Buffalo's locked-in starter can flip the switch, this year's Bills squad looms as a dark-horse playoff contender. The defense is frisky, the running game is a beast and the receiving talent is juicy. EJ can alter perceptions if he gets this team off to a fast start.Vegas released NFL season win totals for Buffalo at 6.5
