WVU
Let's come up with some good idea for contests around here. Boat has come up with some good ones lately so let's keep the party going. I would like to see a contest with a TGF sponsor that requires no postup but would only count with real wagers. For example, we could have a season long NBA contest that requires 50 real bets of $100. You would have to have exactly 50 plays of $100 to qualify for a prize. The prizes could be substantial given that this contest would keep players funded and playing at the book. I think it could work for both the book and players. what do you guys think? milwaukee mike
that would be way too messy, if i'm playing at a sponsor i have no interest in making exactly 50 bets of exactly $

You can make whatever plays you want in the book, but only 50 (or whatever number we come up with) would count for the contest

WVU
it is doable. Don't be so negative. Plays could be posted in one thread for all to see. The winners would have to have the plays validated (check to see if they were really played) before getting the payout. Not difficult at all. WVU
I just explained how easy it is to avoid your "grading nightmare" so you will need to come up with something else to poo poo my contest idea
BigDaddy
beat the bookie contest or make deposit. example bookie makes 7 plays we beat bookie we get 100fp bookie beats us we have to make min $100 deposit within next few days. once someone does not follow thru they are out. also pay season long prizes for people with most beat the bookie wins. WVU
we could do a survivor type contest, but pick losers instead of winners.

Inkwell77
Bushay's contest at EOG is the best contest I have ever participated in. Open format where the plays are posted after they are made! Actually gambling plays instead of some random prop no one can even bet! (if I am going to put in the time to cap something I am not a fan of capping some random thing that has no value except in the contest) The plays are all posted so you can look at closing line value and examine past plays from other sharp players! All in all, a joy to be in that contest. If I was started a contest I would look to the exact same format just maybe less plays, shorter amount of time, etc, to keep the action going. If boats contest were more in that vein I would look to participate more. Here is a 2 week 20 play (insert sport here) contest where you have to deposit at book x to be eligible to participate. His NFL contest at that a1 site was a good idea, but I have no idea what the other plays are and what place I was in when I stopped really trying. Even though I disagree with Bushay's egotistical attitude, and I must say I am glad to be kicking his ass in the contest. We'll see how long it lasts. Coyotes hurting my contest pick and br tonight.
