Official Cigar Aficionado Thread - 2020

Haven't had much time to smoke cigars, but managed to enjoy RoMa Craft Cromagnun Cranium.

While this is not the cigar I'd recommend to a budding cigar enthusiast, this is a cigar that more

experienced gents will enjoy--complex, rich, savory, and there's intermittent flavor bombs with some

nicotine that has the potential to immobilize you. Make sure to eat a good meal before lighting up this fine smoke.

I wouldn't go so far to say that it will leave you with that terrible, nicotine sick feeling, but as I am typing this review

after the fact, i am still a bit jittery.

First third started off with a bast of white pepper, which starts to give way with sweeter, raisin-like

notes. I am not a huge white and black pepper fan--I enjoy red pepper, but this was tasteful.

From there, dark chocolate, coffee, and a savory, meaty note begin to enter the picture.

Blended beautifully and a terrific performer. Nice clean, short finish too.

ypically, I will do what's called dry boxing, which involves letting my cigar rest a bit in an empty humidor

before I enjoy it. This process tends to improve the burn and even help to bring out some of the subtler flavors.

I didn't need to do it with this stick, but plan on doing it with the next one after a bit more time in the humi,

just to see if there are additional notes that I can pick up on.

So here's the real treat of this review. I am going to let you gents in on a little secret. Actually, this is not a

little innocent secret, this is a huge secret that will threaten to leave you broke and divorced.

There's a place called smallbatchcigars.com that has the lowest prices on the net and free shipping. No,

not the "I order and will receive cigars in a week," free shipping, but TWO DAY free shipping!!!

If you've never tried RoMa Craft, Crowned Heads, Caldwell, Viaje, and on and on, you better get your

rear over there and pick up some.

okay, I can't keep this other secret to myself--feels wrong, but there's a coupon code that you can use as many

times as you like to save yourself an additional 10%.

If you want it, pm and please don't post on the net. I am not sure how long small batch cigars will honor this code

because I know their business is steadily picking up.
