Typically, I will do what's called dry boxing, which involves letting my cigar rest a bit in an empty humidor

before I enjoy it. This process tends to improve the burn and even help to bring out some of the subtler flavors.

 

 

 

Have done that also... Still do with some sticks that's been in the humidor a long time

 

Many think 64-66% is the best humidity level for the best smoke... Both of Sammy's humidors hoover around 70%

 

The cheapest way to go with a 'dry box' is to use a a reg cedar interior retail cigar box. If you dont buy by the box your local tobacconist will have them - good customers can get an empty box for free
