They grade golf futures where player doesn't start as a loss too. They should be in jail.

pretty sure I've seen other books do this as well

"all wagers are action" so if you bet a golfer 3 days before the event and he withdraws the next day, you still lose. Doesn't 5 Dimes do this for golf?

Their action was even enough it is +EV for them do leave the bets.

wtf does that have to do with people holding buffalo tickets or under bets thinking the game is gonna be a home game/played out doors in cold weather imsure wouldnt be fucking happy. i dont see how they can do that.

jjgold has a must see video

No, only if they withdraw during the round. Wd before round are refunded at 5dimes, pinny, bookmaker, etc.

BD, is right it is a must watch. I hate to plug across the street but since he already pointed it out, yes the actor in the video really put on a great show. It's hilarious and also sad b/c he's right and no way should this game still be honored.

It's fuking commonsense, which makes the stunt WH is trying to pull more disgusting.

Yeah i thought that was common practice. I guess IDK much about golf futures, but I know if I bet Nadal +533 to win Aussie Open right now at pinny and he has more issues flare up before then and sits out the tourney I still lose my money even though he never played a point

Only way you would ever get your money back on a tennis future where the player doesn't enter the tourney is if you bet the two way line (yes/no). Those require them to start the first match, but if you just bet the normal futures board it's all action

Not for golf:

Pinnacle rule:

[h=2]Golf[/h] [h=3]General:[/h]
  1. If the start of a round is delayed, or if play during a round is suspended, all pending wagers will remain valid for 48 hours. If the postponement lasts more than 48 hours, all pending wagers will be canceled and the monies refunded.
  2. Wagers on a golfer who does not play in the tournament are graded as No Action, and all monies refunded.

5dimes refunds. I bet them every week and have probably a couple a month that wd. Dont know anything about tennis.

standard is to but they say they may list "all have action"

http://www.5dimes.eu/sb_rules.html

In match-ups and futures, wagers on golfers NOT teeing off to begin an event will be graded no action unless otherwise noted. Wagers will not be refunded on any option where "all golfers have action" is listed.

=====

then for tennis:

All Future wagers will have action regardless if the player selected participated or not in the event/tournament/championship.

-=-===

I'm not sure why it should be any different. If I bet Nadal to win a tournament and he doesn't play or if I bet Dustin Johnson to win a tournament and he doesn't play. Not consistent.

I once bet a tennis player to win the tournament after round 1. He withdrew prior to round 2 and 5 Dimes graded it a loser even though that one explicitly said player must start the next round for action. I had to argue with them until they put me through to Tony and he refunded it.

Don't know why it's different I would have assumed it was the same. I don't bet much tennis. How many players are usually listed in futures to win tennis tourneys? Pretty much everyone in the 150 person field can win a golf tourney so one wd probably doesn't affect the odds overall that much, whereas if the #1 seed wd that could change tennis odds substantially. that might have something to do with it, I dunno.
