Hope they run into a rough patch like uconn. Don't think the odds will shrink much between now and January, but hoping they run into a 3 or 4 loss stretch and we can get UConn two years ago type odds. I'll be on them though as a longer shot. Guy is capable of scoring 25 a night in the tournament. And Maryland has talent besides him. It's just inconsistent and inexperienced. Nice win tonight. Wish I took the ML instead of the 3. They had a better team last year.It's early. And Maryland is more dangerous this year; I don't disagree with what you're saying, but one elite veteran guard can carry a team in the tournament. Trimble took a step back last year, so Maryland as a team was better but they didn't have that guy. It has happened time and time again. Trimble has closed games remarkably so far. No one thought Shabazz could carry a weak UConn team; same goes for Kemba. Maryland has been disappointing so far this year, IMO. They have won but they haven't played as well as they're capable. Usually the only long shots who win in college basketball are teams that have that. Don't sleep on how much better Cowan can get throughout the course of this year either. Almost like he listened to people who said he took too many shots and needed to show his abilities as a playmaker. It led to him taking bad shots while passing up on the good ones to get teammates looks. This year he's back to attacking first. His height, 6'3, makes him think he has to learn to be pass first but in the nba the ability to create a shot for yourself is much more valuable than creating for others.
