Honestly I think in a delivery situation you probably have very little control over the tip. People are going to tip or they're not. You might get docked some if you are rude, but as long as you get the food there in a timely manner, you're going to get what you're going to get for the most part. In a restaurant or bar situation you have more control because of increased interaction...maybe you should do some bartending. I bet you would clean up,

This. Only times I ever tip outside of norm is

1. Raining out 2. They do something special like give me a free drink or whatever. 3. Super hot girl (laughably rare but recently had a super hot girl deliver my weed )

Depending on how much you earn in a year, you may or may not qualify to receive a 1099 MISC. Here’s how it’s broken down:

More than $600: Postmates who’ve earned at least $600 or more on our Platform in a year will be receiving a 1099 MISC which documents your annual earnings. You’ll use this when filing your taxes.

Less than $600: If you made less than $600 using the platform in a given year, you won’t receive a 1099 MISC. Don’t worry—you can file your taxes without it.

Time to quit this shit kinger. You are not making any money after your time and gas comes into the equation. And one guy someone might just shoot and they would have paid with a stolen credit card

She might just be scared of how you look too.

What kind of person pays for delivery anyway? No one I dont have ANYTHING delivered. I get in the car and pick the shit up. These people are taking the chance that you dont spit in the food or worse and they are paying MORE MONEY that it would cost at the store

On a $4 bill, could someone even afford to give more than like $2.00? At least to make worthwhile anyway. Your place should have a minimum order of like $15.00 or so

The ONLY place that I have ever heard of delivery around where I live has a $20 minimum order and only goes to a few high end restaurants.

And why dont these people just pay a cash tip? It would be too hard to remember to go back in and add a tip later. There is NO WAY that I would remember to leave a tip later. The system for tipping seems fucked up for the driver anyway

I NEVER have food delivered to my house.

But I tip 15% to 20% at all restaurants. I even tip at casino buffets, and that is something that VERY few people do

It really doesnt matter if postmates drops him or not. If that lady doesnt ti, then he CANNOT afford to make even one more delivery to her. You really need to inform her on the very next trip (before giving her food) that you work for tips. You get nothing out of the postmates charge whatever that is.

On a side note, I really dont even know how these people can afford to tip a $4 order anyway. Tipping more than about $1.00 for a $4 order is REALLY -EV.

You need to drop this job ASAP! I guess that alot of people think that you get paid from postmates. I know that pizza drivers get about $1.00 per pizza for every one that they deliver without a tip from a customer. You need to deliver pizzas and you will make more money it seems

Reading is hard.
