yeah that's going to leave a mark

wtf is a bean drill?

Its the thing being pulled behind the tractor.

It has a  row of discs that slice a hole in the ground. A see is dropped into that hole, then a rubber wheel comes along and pushes the dirt back into the slit cut by the disc and covers the seed.

It's used for what is called "no till" planting. Which is when you don't plow up the soil and prep it for planting. You simply "drill" the seed into the ground that has sat all winter.

I was replacing a bearing on one of the disc

Damn Boat. Be careful.

ahhhhhhhh

little late for that now.

Goes with the territory.

One of the reasons getting disability insurance for farmers is rated so high.

Other than commercial fisherman or logger its about as dangerous occupation as there is.

Long hours, old broken down equipment, often trying to fix things on the fly in poor working conditions with little sleep

But this was simply the result of a kid pulling a hydraulic line while I was up under the piece of equipment

Should have beat his ass, but he is way faster than me and I couldn't catch him
