ronald
Outstanding breakfast spot Ronald. A little out of the way for me so don't get there very often, but do take out of towners there.Best croissants in town in my opinion. Just about everything on the menu, is good, fresh, and proportioned well. The French couple who runs it is there every time and they are probably some of the nicest, most welcoming people in the city. Place is a bit hard to find if you don't know where you are looking. It is kind of hidden in the back of an office complex off the 215. Value is outstanding as well. Pretty sure everything on the menu is well under $10 bucks. A true gem in the desert. (If you like French bakeries I also recommend Rosalie's, Manon, and another personal favorite of mine Delices Gourmands on Sahara). John Curtas claims Delices has the best bread in the city. They make a mean Croque Madame as well. Excellent report!
GreenDoberman
The Plaza closed their beer garden. In another common sense defying move, their clueless management is going to put in a Go-Kart course. Worst run casino in town. Hell, worst run business. They have a 12-year old CEO that keeps throwing shit on the wall. None of it has stuck. FISHHEAD
The Plaza closed their beer garden. In another common sense defying move, their clueless management is going to put in a Go-Kart course. Worst run casino in town. Hell, worst run business. They have a 12-year old CEO that keeps throwing shit on the wall. None of it has stuck. The Garten was toast since day one,......serving quality beers in plastic cups, LOLOL......and overpriced. ThePlaza itself was really good for advantage gamblers up until about a year ago, many here know spent much time there.,,,,,,,their casino management team as GD stated is horrifific, and many times laughable......but in many cases that played right into the hands of advantage gamblers. Go-Kart course, LOL
Reno Marty
The only thing keeping traffic going to the Plaza is the McDonald's. Go Karts??????
FISHHEAD
1. Very friendly bingo staff, but EV way down2. Oscars3. Bar progressive that's playable a few times a year4. Sportsbook ample space for pacing sweating games

MonkeyF0cker
The Plaza was doing well around 2005 when the poker boom was thriving. They capitalized well from it. UPC tournaments all the time and a full poker room. The casino was full. Been a shithole for many years now - even after the remodel. FISHHEAD
Shithole yes, but as stated, an excellent venue for the astute gambler of recent........it was a fun time there when the party was in session. ......lots of laughs to go along with the profits, which is always a plus in this biz. Much of the thanks for the laughs goes to the legendary Waterbug, who was in fine form during the party on nearly everyday.

FISHHEAD
.......bingo was only a small portion of the EV offered, which was certainly terrific. Slots, VP, drawings, and tournaments were most of the thrust.
GreenDoberman
Often times the worst managed joints offer up the best +EV plays for those advantage players. Today's Vegas hotel that caught on fire was the Golden Nugget. (Was a very small one) UNLV named a new AD as well. Desiree Reed- Francois from Virginia Tech recently. GreenDoberman
Let's get out to GVR tomorrow night GD. I'll throw you a 20 spot to pay for your Uber ride home. Diablo,Did not see this until late.Went to work today and then went straight to 51s (AAA team) game. Got home very late. I live the other end of the earth (town) from GVR. Very rarely get there. Think last time I went there I ended up staying in the hotel for two days. Very nice place and impressive service. The spa admission I beleive is complimentary and they have some nice amenities. A nice steam room after a night of drinking can do wonders.

GreenDoberman
Hearing a rumor that MGM is going to buy the Cosmopolitan.Cosmo's owners, Blackstone, have been looking to flip the property for a while now and it's no secret for the right price it is for sale.Rumors of this have been floated for a while, so take this with a grain of salt and see if it gains any traction. ronald
Poster jakepeavy's sister's house in Henderson has finally been sold for a price well below asking, largely due to pizza stains and ganja stains on the carpeting. Poster JEFFSKU hit a Royal this week, making this his 54th winning month in a row at video poker. The number 24 will be raised to the rafters and retired this week at Mi Casa in honor of poster Fishhead.
