Timely Hitting
70 points tonightand they lost. Unreal. Only 40 shots too - guess I shouldn't say "only". 26 ft attempts. Incredible.

rjt
and they lost. Unreal. Only 40 shots too - guess I shouldn't say "only". 26 ft attempts. Incredible. 51 in the 2nd half Suns only have 8 healthy players. And they kept fouling last few minutes down double digits to get Booker as many shots as possible. But 70 is still

Terrance Ross scored 50 once so 50 not as impressive but 70 is absurd regardless of circumstance.

Timely Hitting
never heard of him. jokic had 30-18-5 on 18 shotsJokic is a freak. The next great big in the NBA. Booker was an elite recruit for Kentucky and is really young. Needs to improve his passing, and ability to finish around the rim but he's talented. Can get his own shot on the perimeter versus most. Timely Hitting
booker 249 in real plus minusPlus minus a pretty terrible stat imo. Suns are terrible regardless of him and I think he has a lot to work on still but he has a lot of scoring talent clearly. Long way to go to be an elite game changer but young enough to maybe one day learn. Still a lot of weaknesses in his game.
MonkeyF0cker
It's a more meaningful stat than PPG.

Real plus-minus is adjusted for who you play with and opponenets. Public versions are obviously always lacking, but stuff like this drives nba betting markets these days. http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/RPM

Wanna have that Booker vs Bledsoe discussion again about who has the higher ceiling and the guy they are building the team around?
Sol Aristatel
but young enough to maybe one day learn. You're damn straight. Kid isn't even old enough to drink yet. And he just dropped 70. Unbelievable.
Timely Hitting
It's a more meaningful stat than PPG.I still doubt RPM's abilities to evaluate impact - especially defensively. I remember when RPM had Taj - who I like - as one of the best players in the NBA. I think it's solid and volume scoring on bad teams certainly doesn't mean as much as it does on winning teams but I think it should be taken on a case by case basis. Imo. With the tracking software implemented in the past few years basketballs metrics will improve but I still don't trust all the big metrics as much as I do in a one on one sport like baseball. Basketball has a ways to go.

Sol Aristatel
Bledsoe is still the better overall basketball player. Sure. Right now. I don't disagree with that at all. I'm confident in saying that won't be the case within 2-3 years.

Public versions are obviously always lacking, but stuff like this drives nba betting markets these days. http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/RPMI know the difference between the two I'm just not ready to judge a kid like bookers talent based on his RPM right now. The Sun's are terrible and he's a high volume scorer now on a bad team - hardly some impactful player. I just think his ceiling of tools was on display tonight
Timely Hitting
NBA has so much isolation, it might as well be one on one.Depends on the team. And even in iso rotations are key and being a poor defensive player in iso doesn't mean you're a poor defensive player as a team basketball player. MonkeyF0cker
How can you play good team defense but poor iso defense? That doesn't translate. Name a player where this is the case.
Sol Aristatel
Booker only the SIXTH (6) player in NBA history to score at least 70 in a game. Something Jordan never accomplished. And its unreal this kid is only twenty years old. Crazy.
