Raiders’ relocation from Oakland to Las Vegas approved

....the day/night the Raiders play their first game in Vegas, housing prices will probably be the same as now, or LOWER.

ACH may be calling for a complete wipeout in the AAA city

Long and slow decline with a possible near wipeout with a decent financial downturn.

They do have $750 million to hand over to the Raiders and unlimited income on the city's property which they will pitch in an apparent $1.5 billion with the city handing them over more in free income off their tax dollars. When that sweetheart deal runs its course, they will be gone and LV will wonder why they wasted all their money when they look around see what is still a dung heap.

ACH... Your ASS hurts... Why the hate on Vegas??? Been here 21 years and haven't fried yet... A lot of fans will go to games to support not only the Raiders, but their team as well... Go CHIEFS Go.. Once a year they will play here...

Relax...

Just pointing out that it is not a major league city but it is handing out major league welfare. Of course, the Raiders are going to take it. They can play in an empty stadium and make millions.

When they get a better deal, they will be gone. LV is not going to get above AAA ever. The Raiders are obviously not moving to Vegas because they want to be in Vegas. They are moving there because they are handing them the cash they want. When someone else is ready to hand them more, they will be gone.

But the Raiders could move to Lubbock, Texas and make money.

Las Vegas is a bargaining chip.

Raiders are going to kill it in Vegas. Huge number of Raiders fans. Not a megalopolis so easy to get to games. Great support by businesscommunity. Raiders are going to be really good. Everyone is going to make money. I live 10 miles from the stadium in Oakland. Good for them. Will have much more support.

Agree. Gonna be awesome to go see a game when I go up there during football season. Bet the morning games, watch them until halftime in the book. Then bet the Raiders game and head over to the Stadium to watch it.

Gonna be fantastico.

Fuck Oakland. They couldn't manage to build a stadium. The Oakland Coliseum is the shittiest stadium in pro sports. Massive amount of money in the East Bay now. Tech companies moving to Oakland. You have million dollar houses lining the hills from Oakland to Berkeley to Kensington to El Cerrito.

Next time try harder. Just another in a long line of stupid moves from losing the Warriors to trying to get rid of the most dominant team in collegiate athletics (Cal Rugby).

From the owner's point of view it makes sense to want more box seats, more seats overall. But as a fan I've never understood the fascination with a new stadium/arena/ballpark. After the new stadium is built, prices double. What do you get in return? The Coliseum is a great venue. It has history, it is inexpensive for both football/baseball. It is easily accessible by anyone in the Bay area. It is actually especially good for football because the seating does not slope away from the field endlessly but goes up more vertically so you are more on top of the action. The atmosphere at both Raiders and A's games is unique. But oh no, it's in a shit part of town and they don't have 7 bars that offer 150+ beers on tap or a Margaritaville.

It's a shit part of town but the town has lots of places now that offer 150 beers. Go to a Giants game and then go to an As game. Tell me there's no difference. Sorry but when your best promotion is dollar hot dogs on Wednesday you've been left behind. Oakland isn't Oakland any more. Commercial rent prices increased almost 35% in the last year. The stadium blows. Have fun in a city that wants you.
