I'm looking at tracking the same thing for hockey. Can someone point me in the right direction for a historical data base.

Final Stats for MLB-

Teams coming off a shutout:  130-123 (+14.85 units)

Teams coming off a 10+ run loss:  48-56 (-5.15 units)

Combined:  178-179  (+9.70 units)

Don't know if this is just an aberration or something more to it, but the totals stood at +14.15 and +8.15 units at the end of August.

10+ run losers went 6-19 in September.  Might consider cutting that month off next year.

Working on tracking a few things in NFL and probably NHL as well.

NBA likely a total pass.

NFL and NHL results for what I have been tracking so far.

NHL teams losing by 5 or greater goals are 7-4 (+2.4) next time out.

NHL teams getting shut out are 16-6 (+8.9) in next game.

NFL:

Teams that give up 40 or more points are 6-4.

Teams that lose by more than 30 are 2-2-1.

Teams that are shutout are 3-2-1.

Teams scoring less than 10 points are 13-7-2.

Final NFL regular season numbers:

Hit 54.8% on the four categories.

Don't have exact records, but do at home on internet.

Both NHL categories currently in the plus units.

With baseball starting tomorrow, here are the stats from 2017.

Will be tracking the same two this year.

Hockey has been tailing off in the last month just like baseball.

Final Stats for MLB-

Teams coming off a shutout:  130-123 (+14.85 units)

Teams coming off a 10+ run loss:  48-56 (-5.15 units)

Teams coming off a 5 or greater goal loss:  33.32 (+2.55 units)

The White Sox have a solid six game lead over both the O's and Royals.

Balt is staring at a solid 55-win season if they trade Machado this week.
