Had company in town for the past week, so went out to a bunch of places. Some quick reviews:

Café Breizh- excellent little French café on Westside.  Seems these are popping up everywhere.

Sambalatte- one of the best breakfast coffeehouses in town.

Chica- mentioned this has best ceviche in town, the breakfast was unbelievable as well.  Chicken and Waffles and the Dulce de Leche French Toast.  Wow.

Café Zupas- my go-to soup and salad place.  Never disappoints.

Lotus of Siam- went to the new location on second day they were open.  didn't have everything, including liquor license yet, but what they had was delicious in a beautiful setting.

Giordano's- went to a pre-opening in Boca Park.  Salad-very good, pizza- meh.  Deep dish not really my cup of tea.

7th and Carson- has taken over as downtown's best restaurant.  It's like Carson Kitchen on steroids.  Lemon Gnocchi was top 10 dish of all-time.

Carson Kitchen- see above as the king has been dethroned.  Seemed a peg or two below previous visits.

Tom's Urban- last-minute meal before hockey game as place we were going was closed.  Utterly mediocre is the best I can say. Avoid.

Sparrow and Wolf- for the adventurous this is food porn.  Each dish one-ups the last one.  Will return for their winter menu without a doubt.

Eatt- healthy Vegas, French bistro cuisine.  Not to be missed.

Had a friend recently tell me about sparrow and wolf said he had one of the best Vegas meals of his life there and this guy knows food.

Will give it a try next time I’m in town. Menu looks solid.

Sparrow and wolf

Chica

The black sheep

Were top three best new restaurants in descending order. All three are excellent.

Other mama is still one of my faves as well.

Live very close to the Black Sheep. Menu looks a little limited but will definitely try on your recommendation.
