Apple cider vinegar

Does anyone take this? I've been reading about all the benefits and started a couple days ago. Have to say I have a ton of energy today and I slept without Ambien last night.

Supposedly it's a "miracle cure" of sorts a quote for a number of things including stomach issues, blood sugar, weight control, depression, sleep issues, skin, cancer prevention and on and on. Poster kid44 uses to extol its virtues, and my brother recently told me he takes it daily.

If anyone takes it, suggestions on how to make more palatable would be appreciated. I've got some capsules, but I think it would be better to use to do the real deal.

Yeah . I've been mixing with water, but by the time I get to the end of the glass I am about ready to gag. I think I would be better served by doing what you do – drinking it like a shot with a chaser. Maybe Chase with apple juice? Or just water...How often do you take it?

One negative I read was that it can be hard on the teeth and you should drink through a straw if you don't just down it.

Some of the dramatic benefits may also be derived from yet-to-be-identified phytochemicals (beneficial compounds in plants) that scientists are now discovering in a number of different foods. In fact, many of your strongest weapons against cancer are the phytochemicals found in fruits and vegetables.

One thing that apple cider vinegar is high in is acetic acid. Like other acids, acetic acid can increase your body's absorption of important minerals from the foods you eat. Therefore, it is possible that drinking a mild tonic of vinegar and water just before meals might improve your body's ability to absorb the essential minerals locked in foods. Apple cider vinegar might help you get more out of your leafy greens!

I think it's bs but no actual science to support it.

One of the chicks that sits next to me at work drinks it daily after lunch. I hate the smell

I think there is science to support some of the claima, but not all. What is your coworker taking it for?

Edit...just found this from today though

Just like anything else I suppose that studies conflict. I've read enough personal anecdotes however that I'm willing to at least give it a try.
