joeybagadonuts
Pretty nuts! It obviously woke me up and I shit you not, I looked at my GF and JUMPED out of bed and ran the fuck out of my place. It was really short it was still pretty scary especially since it happened in the middle of the night.
Flying Dutchman
I'm seeing 6.0 reported. Probably not that bad in San Fran, but you put a 6.0 right under you, it can kill people... ...but it's not "the big one"

The only last night was a rolling motion, not the really back and forth shaking ones that cause a ton of damage. The epicenter of the one last night was near Napa, so like 50-60 miles from me. This is a good point, the energy released is one thing, the actual motion is really quite another. Ground you are standing can also make a huge difference. In the Northridge, the vibration bounced around underground and refocused in another area (I think Santa Monica) due to the rubble filled valleys that forms the LA basin... ...I'm glad i'm in Lost Wages

Better than the time we had a gun pulled on us in SF when I pushed her out of the way to run. :smiley-laughing001:

KingRevolver
How often do earthquakes happen out there, Joey? I've never been in one, and want to keep it that way. LOL
Dire Straits
City Hall in San Fran has a rubber foundation to prevent earthquake damage. I still recall that from the guided tour my girl and I went on lol. Earthquakes and high prices are the only two bad things about the bay area but it's a great place to live. joeybagadonuts
How often do earthquakes happen out there' date=' Joey? I've never been in one, and want to keep it that way. LOL[/quote'] Not often at all. Feel one every few years. Even the 1989 one did nothing except knock some stuff over at my house. They aren't a big deal at all. Of course if a huge 8+ like in Japan hit here, I might change my tune
