Race 1

$20 win #7 Hello Holiday 5-1

$2 exbx 6-7

Broman owned horses have run unbelievably so far, and today is their first runner trained by Hushion. In my opinion, he's the best trainer they employ. We're looking at 5-1, so I want in.

Race 3

$20 win #2 Markitoff 4-1

$2 exbx 2-8

$5 DD 2-4

Interesting pairing here with owners Zayat and trainer Rice. Zayat has had a hard time finding the right NY trainer for their lower level string, so this is a semi new partnership. Rice has a reputation as being a turf sprint specialist, when in reality her turfers running long outperform the sprinters. Second off a long layoff should do the trick. Just hope we get 4-1.

Race 4

$20 win #4 War Bond 4-1

$2 exbx 4/1,8,9

$1 P3 4/ALL/5

Read Rice notes above.

Race 6

$20 win #5 Hopper Dropper 8-1

Ubilio is a mysterious trainer who blows up the board on occasion. He's got one win so far, and a third at a big price. That's a lot of success for him, so want to jump on board before he disappears for 8 months.

Good luck folks.

Thanks, Joe. It's not all roses, though. Thought about playing the 2 in the eighth and the 9 in the ninth. Decided to stay disciplined, and passed. Yadda yadda yadda, $33 horse, $14 horse, and a $300 double. Ugh.

Thats the kind of situation that gets me one step closer to tilting. It seems to happen way too often

I'm tilting all over the place with somehow missing the horse winners and betting the losers and then losing hundreds in DFS thanks to editing the wrong lineup

keep bubbling in tournaments and two nightscost myself $400 by accidentally editing the wrong lineup

Sunday 5/21/17

Made a few plays today:

Race 6

$20 win #10 Cerise's Prince 8-1

$2 DD 3,6,8,10,11,12/8

$1 P3 ALL/8/6

Gargan horses been running great all meet. The only time to get them at a price though, is for owners OTHER THAN Midwest Thouroughbreds, like here. Irad on is a pleasant surprise, as Gargan rarely uses him.

Race 7

$20 win #8 E Warfare 20-1

$2 ex ALL/8

$5 DD 8-6

I bet this trainer often, as he's sneaky and rather inactive. Had this horse last out, if you have a minute go watch the replay(5/10/17, Race 9,#3). https://www.nyra.com/belmont/racing/replays

After checking to the back at the start, horse moves into contention around the turn, but when it gets close there's absolutely no urgency from Cornelio. He gives a passive tap or two with whip, and there's none of the usual scrubbing from the jock. All the while horse is never out of it. As I watched live, I said to myself "Stiff job, watch for a move up in class." Ten days later, its back, stepping up into an Allowance with a huge jockey switch to Lezcano. Sneaky.

Race 8

$20 win #6 Wicked Freud 6-1

Generazio horses have been sharp all meet and just missed at 10-1 yesterday. I want to stay on top of their entrants, especially the ones trained by Ryerson.

Good luck, folks.

Just some notes from this past weekend:

Trainers

Hushion-2 wins over the weekend. Add to the Hot List. When he's going good, he's playable in all scenarios.

Rice-3 wins over the weekend keeps her entrenched on the Hot List. Best chance at a price is going long on turf.

Cox-4 wins on the meet. Good luck finding a price.

J. Englehart- 2 wins over the weekend. Pay attention when he's ignored on the tote.

Nevin-2 wins over the weekend(33-1,2-1). Firmly entrenched on the Hot List.

Gargan- another 2 wins. Look to his lower profiled owners for the price plays.

Toscano- another W on the weekend. Hard to root out any trends or specialties with this guy.

Keep an eye on C.Baker, Terranova, and Domino. All had nice priced winners and all were their first of the meet, I believe.

Owners

Broman horses still going well.

Generazio had a win(15-1) and a place(10-1) over the weekend. Avoid the Clement trainees, focus on the Ryerson trainees.

Jockeys

Multiple turf routes have been won by aggressive jockeys winging it on front end, while the rest of the colony pulls back and falls asleep. Give second looks to turf routers ridden by Rosario, H.Diaz Jr, and Paco Lopez.
