So I shouldn't live in a tropical climate area where I can harvest 365 days a year food cuz a hurricane may strike

its a factor. not the biggest factor but it would be all over if a cat4 or 5 hit when there are no utilities

doesnt really matter any survival situation you would need trained 15+ men with guns.......and thats just to fend off the zombies before they die off. then the government could pass a law that allows them to seize your farm. so basically its impossible

LOL at growing a garden to feed yourself. Bugs where I live are ninja fighters. They wipe out everything. Hornworm just took out a tomato overnight.

yeah i just dont see how anyone could grow a garden and have it work in bad times......you would need a lot of firepower to protect it

best is to just stock up on food, ammo and water..........its theorized that if a major event happened where the grid went down the population would panic within 4-5 days and half would die of thirst within 2 months......im not sure i buy that but when you think about how screwed the major cities would be maybe its true. if you are within 50 miles of a city with a population over 100,000 then it would be tough to hold your position without trained men

if you lived in a very rural community and had supplies you could actually ride it out. but suburbs, probably not
