KingRevolver
76ers underestimated how bad the Knicks are... The Knicks have lost 12 straight games, and 22 of last 24 games. Whether they have the worst or second worst record, I'm sure the Knicks will get the top pick. Interesting, though, from looking at the numbers, the favorite to win the lottery rarely wins it... http://i60.tinypic.com/2yljloh.jpg
yisman
Knicks were in the lottery many times since 1985 and never won. Lakers never won the lottery (only in it a few times), Celtics never won the lottery. They not only were in it a bunch of times, but they twice deliberately tanked in an effort to get the #1 pick. instead, teams like Orlando, San Antonio, Portland, Milwaukee, Golden State and Cleveland did

tripp
lottery conspiracies are way overblown like yisman said No matter who wins there are conspiracies on why it was a setup. Cleveland wins, they are trying to make it up to them for losing Lebron, NO wins its cause of new ownership and that came with the deal, Chicago its cause they want someone to come fill the shoes of Jordan etc etc No matter what there is a story somewhere on why the league wants that to happen instead of it just being probability. yisman
the most common lottery conspiracy is that the league wants to help all the big market teams and screw the small market teams. If you look at the history of the lottery, it's happened the other way. So either there's a conspiracy to screw the big market teams or they just have had bad luck. If the league wanted the Knicks and Lakers to win, the Chris Paul trade wouldn't have been blocked, and the league would not have allowed Isiah to run the Knicks into the ground for five years. The entire league knew he was an incompetent imbecile who ruined everything he touched (before the Knicks, he bankrupted the CBA).
