bad cravings because i cut my benzo use in half

will take 1-2 weeks until these booze cravings subside

knowing is half the battle

Yeah when I quit drinking I was on .5 mg xanax 4x/day for years

Eventually got off it all together, verrrrrrrrry slowly

Every taper down does give you cravings of some sort.  Makes your body feel like it's missing "something" that you just can't put your finger on.

It goes away.  It is worth it to push through.  You will get to the other side and be happy for it.  Plus it allows you to build so much confidence in yourself in so many ways.

You cut in half from what dosage?  That seems really fast.

HC i cut it down from 2mg ativan a night to 1mg a night in about a week

my sleep is fine (thank God) but my cravings for "something" as you said are out of this world

and when i think about it this is the point where i usually cave to the cravings and start the vicious cycle all over again

how could i be so dumb to repeat this and never pick up on it before

Yeah I can relate.  Your brain is trying to compensate from the lack of benzos, and is craving something to slow it down.  It returns back to balance, usually takes about 4-5 days for me.

Exercise and lots of water are 2 things that helped me greatly.

Good luck man.
