Guest boatboatboat Posted January 15, 2015 Report Share Posted January 15, 2015 Hello fellow TGFers Today I am happy to announce that TGF will once again be flying the Betmania Banners. Many if not most of you know about 3 weeks ago the banners were taken down. They were taken down because some players at TGF had not been paid Free Plays from contest winnings in a timely fashion. As a result the Betmania banner came down and the TGF posters where paid via 100% cash sent directly to them. At that time I also facilitated seeing players at EOG were paid as well. Please note during all the time this was going on, in every comment I made about Betmania I would stress that NONE of this had ANYTHING to do with them being in any type of financial difficulties. It had 100% to do with a break down in communication. I also stated that it saddened me because TGF had lost a great alley and supporter of ours. During the past weeks some fences have been mended but work remains to be done. In light of this, the banners will be returned. As always you are free to play any where you so choose and having a banner up or not having one, doesn't really mean anything in regards to a books safety. What I can tell you is, I play at Betmania and had continued to even through our difficult times. Once again, it NEVER was about the book having a difficult time, it was about a break down in communication. So we move on like adults, mend fences and each improve. That is my sincere hope. At this time Both Mania and myself are considering what our approach will be in regards to contest or if TGF runs any Mania contest at all. I shall answer a question before it is asked. "Boats did ya put the banner up so you get the banner $$" Well not that it is really anyone's concern or business, but Betmania was already paid a full year ahead and even when the banners were not flying they hadn't approached me about a refund. That simply isn't their style. This has much much more about trying to add to the community as a whole and improve our players contacts and relationships with the books than any banner fee could ever do. TGF for me at least, is a labor of love. Scoff, laugh, ridicule all you want, but it's true. During the time the Mania banners were down I not only had lost a perk to offer TGF community with the special contest.I had lost a friend. That saddened me. I have a vision of where we can go and it's a destination where the books and the players in our community don't have an adversarial relationship but see their relationship as one more like the old days when you played with a local down at the corner bar and he not only was your bookie he was also your drinking buddy. But listen, b3 has gone the extra mile to make everything right and even gave an in-dept explanation to all of this shit that happened. And he really didn't have to that. So, kudos to b3.
