Chickadee Posted January 17, 2015 Report Share Posted January 17, 2015 They are a Spurs "lite". Mike Budenholzer was Popovich's assitant for years and Ferry was a good GM. Everybody forgot how effective Horford could be because of that pectoral injury and they have surrounded themselves with good shooters that fit in their offensive system. They were +14000 at some shops preseason to win the title. IDK if it will last beyond this season though. The team is for sale, Ferry is gone as GM, Paul Millsap is expiring this year and he'll be in for a big salary increase since they got him on a bargain contract for the last 2 years. You dont win 26 of 28 by being a fluke East is looking much stronger than expected. Still nowhere near the West, but Cavs, Bulls, hawks, Wiz and Raps are all legit threats and good teams.
