tripp Posted January 31, 2015 Report Share Posted January 31, 2015 Serena well outplaying Sharapova in that first set and taking it comfortably 6-3. Sharapova with quite a few bad misses. It's pretty much impossible at this point that Serena is not in her head with that crazy h2h record. Maria is as tough as it gets mentally but it just always looks like she almost doesnt believe she can beat Serena. Maria got way more comfortable with the pace Serena is hitting at and really upped her level of play Just came down to the fact that Serena's serve was way too good. Sharapova couldn't touch it. Just was guessing more times than not by the end knowing she couldnt react in enough time to do anything with it.
