Dixie Chicks are the Greatest Female-Fronted Band...

...Female Singer + At Least 2 Upfront Instrumentalists...

That has come out of the USA in (at leadt) the last Quarter-Century.

Great song for sure. And that was an Epic Album.

As I said a way back above, country music has its roots in the trad music of Ireland, Scotland, and England, brought to America by immigrants in the 18th and 19th centuries. I'm showing a bit of a reversal here, where the song Billy Gray is covered by an Irish band, Planxty in a performance at Vicar Street club in Dublin. In my view, no American country song has the quality of accompaniment these lads give.

A few years ago, there was a national poll in Ireland to name the greatest living musician. Obvious contenders Van Morrison, Bono, Sinead O'Connor, Delores O'Riordan, Shane McGowan, and the guy singing this tune below, Christy Moore. He won the poll.

I lived there for seven years. In all of those years, Christy had 3 week bookings with one dark night per week at a place called the Point Depot. Set up for about 3000 people. For years, every seat sold out every night within three hours of going on sale. Never could get to see him live.

Historian confirmed.

IAG i seen her a short time ago in nc, when she started her new tour, i really think she came back too fast after the kid, she was ok but not what i seen in the past from her.i think down the road she will get back to   herself, when i seen her here she was still not in shape and had that just pop a kid look imo. a lot of people around me said the same thing, it look like she pop the kid out backstage and then came on stage.

As long as she can sing, I’m not too concerned with her body.
