do any books cancel boxing bets when the # of rounds changes?  i was worried about that with my miller bets since everywhere said 10 rds but it was changed to 12

That's a great question.............doesn't happen often.

Would almost certainly say NO, but not 100% certain.

Let me check/ask on some RULES on boxing at certain venues, offshore and Vegas to find out.............unless someone knows 100% the correct answer.

some sites like betonline say stuff like this for round bets/props

  • If the scheduled length of the match is changed, all prior wagers on the number of rounds of the bout will be graded as 'No Action'.

Yes, certainly a TOTAL this has more effect on.............so BOL in particular just voids totals and lets sides remain?

i changed that post... after re-reading the rules it looks like that applies for round betting (ends in 7th round, ends in round 7-9, etc) rather than totals?

if you're asking around, the one i'm really curious about is yes/no fight goes the distance... always wondered how that would get graded if rounds change, especially some of the smaller fights that go from 10 rounds to 6 or wacky stuff like that

have had some fights with delays/venue changes over the years and books seem to have wildly different rules on whether or not they cancel the bets

The yes/no would/should have to be voided IMO, and a disclaimer should be listed as such on that prop.

you would think that, and 5dimes says that

If the number of scheduled rounds in a boxing match is changed or misposted, the following wagers will have action:  the fight winner, fighter wins only, and draw options.  "Fight totals" and "will go / won't go" will have action if the updated scheduled rounds is more than the total listed on the prop.  Exact round of ending, fighter to win inside distance, win by decision, and goes distance props will all be no action if scheduled rounds are changed or misposted.
