You might find a poll where he was up by 12, but then it was countered with a poll where he was down by 5. RCP's polling average never had Moore up by more than 6 in the past few months, but with the volatility in the polls, it was tough to ever get a good handle on the race. If the allegations, his slavery comments, tapes of his comments on the Constitution, etc came out 6 months ago, someone else is trouncing Doug Jones tonight. All this result really shows me is that Trump/Bannon aren't enough to overcome all of the other stuff, even in a state as red as Alabama. Jones almost certainly gets trounced in 2020 regardless of other factors because the R's will send out a candidate with a pulse, which is all it would have taken to win tonight. no space for logic here Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
