Teddy kgb
Seriously Kinger, dont debit if you can charge, you cost yourself a $1.50 in free money from the credit co's(assuming a measly 1% rebate). All I ever do is debit for at least 10yrs now from anything like a washer and dryer to a pack of gum....what's this rebate you speak of? I get a cc with 0 interest? Can I link it to my bank account and have it set up to pay in full? Will my wife be eligible also? If there's a way to fvck this up I'll do it but I want to try it

Cashback rewards, as long as you dont carry a balance(pay balance monthly), it's free money, and it does add up.
Teddy kgb
What about the fees to use the card that comes from the store? Let's say I buy a couple beers and use my card and the store charges me 75cents?

If there's a way to fvck this up I'll do it but I want to try itAlmost all credit card co's have them, I use chase and BOA, the Case card gives me 1% on everything and 5% on different rotating categories(such as gas 1 qtr, groceries another qtr),. My bank of america card gives 1% on everything, 2% on food, and 3% on gas all the time, I think capital one has a card offering 2% on everything too. milwaukee mike
You're joking right? there are actually a couple places that do that one of my clients is a bar that charges everyone $1 if they use a card, because he's small and pays a fee based on transactions but it's VERY RARE
Teddy kgb
Why would a cc co. Give me 2% back on all purchases? Especially if I paid in full every month? They lose money on the deal.... My heads spinning I'll google search this later....sounds interesting but gotta be a trap
mikeman
No....should I be?Yes merchants pay fee's to the credit card co's, that's their problem, has nothing to do with what we're talking about. You get a reward card, the interest rate DOES NOT MATTER because you must pay it off every month to gain any benefit, then you charge pretty much everything(pay it off) and typically when your reward balance gets to 20-25$ you cash it out as a statement credit(or a check). Easy peasy.

Teddy kgb
but it's VERY RAREReally ? It's at every single liquor store in LA and The OC....100% of them either charge 50,75 or a buck... Omar who owns the store I go to 5x a day doesn't charge but does charge 10cents for a bag which is the law

Omar who owns the store I go to 5x a day doesn't charge but does charge 10cents for a bag which is the law some of the smaller ones do that, definitely not ALL and anyone that charges that is breaking the law in california... so you won't see any major grocery stores/etc doing it “No retailer…may impose a surcharge on a cardholder who elects to use a credit card in lieu of payment by cash, check or similar means…”Statute: Cal. Teddy kgb
That's bizarre because all liquor stores charge when you use a debit card....100% The ATM charges $2.75 on average to pull out $
mikeman
Merchants dont like small charges because they typically pay a flat fee of maybe 25 cents, plus 2-3% of the charge amt, so if you charge a 1 or $2 item they are losing money(or not making any).
