Fish knows his stuff on supplements. There one of the best fish oils around.

Over the last few years there's been some evidence of fish oil having some negative effects.............years back took daily, now only pop a Barleans once every two or three days, think moderation best, as there are certainly good benefits from a high quality fish oil, more so for people with a family history of heart issues.

Eat WILD Salmon at home twice a week, favorite food......95% of the salmon in restaurants is farm raised, pure garbage.

What's the difference  between that wild and farmed salmon?

What's the difference  between that wild and farmed salmon?

Nearly all salmon Americans eat is farm-raised

They are raised in and grown in dense-packed pens near ocean shores, fed fish meal that can be polluted with toxic PCB chemicals, awash in excrement flushed out to sea and infused with antibiotics to combat unsanitary conditions. Some salmon are raised on farms that use more sustainable methods, but you can't tell from the packaging.

Eating farmed salmon occasionally is not a great health concern, but risks can add up if you eat salmon often. But the long-term environmental damage caused by the industry is substantial. We recommend wild salmon over farmed whenever possible."

A report by the EWG showed that farmed salmon in the U.S. has the highest levels of PCBs, toxic man-made chemicals, so Canadian salmon may be slightly better. Many suggest that you limit farmed salmon consumption to once a week at most if you are unable to find fresh, wild salmon.

The farm raised crap often times has coloring added also.

Wild tastes much better also...............try to stay clear of PINK salmon also, RED is higher quality.

Pair with a good  wine.............and finish it all off with an ALASKEN AMBER or two in a slightly chilled pint glass.

What is the EWG? This sounds like your typical "eat organic" nonsense that cons people into paying 4 times as much for the same thing.

PCB worries are pretty much a thing of the past, what are the real #'s of pcb levels in farm vs fresh salmon?

It just makes commonsense to eat WILD over FARMED imo............and as stated, it tastes much better.

DrWeil is big against FARM RAISED salmon

But if one is only consuming one serving of salmon a week, not that big of deal.............certainly wouldn't be consuming farm raised crap 4 plus times a week......or even wild for that matter............moderation, as with most things, is key, the old wisemen were spot on.
