you got rid of most/all of your crap alt coins though right?

not sure why you would step in front of a train at 7200 but good luck with it

Sucker for punishment? Guilt for making too much money too quickly? My new gambling fix?

Who knows.

Sold off most alts, but still have still have a handful. Keep in mind it’s not the first time bitcoin has crashed like this. I held ETH when it went from 420 to sub 200, Andto 1300 with in six months. Maybe I’m too immune.

The technology has not changed. It’s not going anywhere. Governments and banks are doing their best to make it go away...it’s not as if something changed in the tech ...Some say valuations still out of hand as most coins are still up hundreds if not thousands of percent on the 90 day. I think the biggest threat short term is Tether situation. If that plays out badly, I could be waiting a long time for recovery. If somehow they can show they have the money, bribe the SEC, whatever, should be fairly quick bounce.

For now I’m not even looking at my Binance account. Nowhere safe to really hide. Even DGD is way down. That had been the hiding place for a while.

I have a couple friends who didn’t buy at the top, but high....I sold one half a bitcoin at 14,000, so I know he’s getting rekd. Thing is, I didn’t even want to part with that BTC at that time. He just had no other out, so I gave it to him. Now I’m glad I did, but feel kind of bad.

yes it is

btc has seen drops before but not 70% in day after day punishment

if government and banks are doing their best to make it go away, then it goes away

it was fun on the way up, but i would bet every dollar i own that the total crypto market cap is MUCH lower a year from now

Well it dropped 93 percent in 2011, but over a period of months...but given how fast the run up was, not surprising it has happened that quickly.

I just think the U.S government wouldn’t want to give up that tax revenue, but idk. Hell they were probably in cahoots with Bitfinex and Tether to run up the price so everyone would have to pay tax (after clarifying the no like kind transaction rule end of Dec) and then crashed it so their boys could hit their shorts. Would be better in many ways if it was more regulated, but then it would be boring. I might as well invest in the stock market.

I’m probably being silly in letting it ride...but no guts no glory. Every dollar you own? What is “much lower?” I might be interested in a friendly wager. Certainly not everything I own. I wouldn’t bet everything I own on bitcoin one where the other.

Sheeeeet. That’s a good portion of my retirement. I like to put money in things that are not liquid so I limit stupid things like buy shitcoins! ....plus if shit really hits the fan I will at least have a place to live lol.

Yes.  The irrational exuberance is mostly over.  The technology HASN'T changed and that is exactly the problem.  Blockchains do not currently scale to massive consumption.

Lol yeah. I have to be very careful if I want to keep myself in the mediocre lifestyle to which I’ve become accustomed.

Just checked Zillow and it says price decreased 5k in last 30 days! What’s up with that?
