If you’re reading a contract, where do you describe ‘sub section’ and ‘suffix’?

Example.....

Section220000

Part 1- General

1.1 Related Documents (is considered what)

A. General provisions (is considered what)

If I was to talk about GP, should it read like this...

In section 220000, part 1, sub section 1.1, suffix A, it states blah blah

Is that correct?

It all depends on what the Contract calls them out as....

There is no “set” way. Sometimes the overarching “Sections” are Articles, Sometimes “Parts”. Most contracts always have a clause that say headings are integrated for convenience only, therefore, what to call them doesn’t really matter - easiest is to make it clear what provision you’re pointing to
