at least it is not a long term contract, so you can cut bait if and when things go pear shaped.

If you get a decent backup, he's not a bad gamble.   Cards were gonna get a 2nd tier guy because of their cap situation, and he might be the best of those, with ability to be a top tir guy IF he's healthy.

In his first eight games, he scored eleven touchdowns, which tied an NFL record—held by Dan Marino (1983), Peyton Manning (1998), and Ben Roethlisberger (2004). He was named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Month for October 2010.

During October and November 2010, he established a record for most consecutive passes without an interception for a rookie (169)

On November 28, 2010, against the Denver Broncos, Bradford became the first rookie in NFL history to pass for at least 300 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions during a road victory.

He capped November by becoming the first rookie QB to win two consecutive Offensive Rookie of the Month awards.

On December 26, Bradford surpassed Peyton Manning's record for most completed passes by an NFL rookie quarterback (326). Bradford finished the season with 354 completions out of 590 attempts, surpassing Manning's record of 575 for most attempts by an NFL rookie quarterback. Bradford became just the third rookie quarterback to start all 16 regular season games and pass over 3,000 passing yards, joining Peyton Manning and Matt Ryan.

Bradford was the NFL Rookie of the Year in 2010.

From 2011 through 2015 he played in 47 games averages around 9 games per season as he dealt with various injuries and during this span he threw fpr 60TD and 37INT,over 11,000 yards, completing 1,000 of 1,700,62 percent complete. The 2013 season was his high point throwing for 14TD and 4INT,1,700 yards and a 90.9 passer rating.

Bradford started 15 games in 2016, completing 395 of 552 passes for 3,877 yards and 20 touchdowns with 5 interceptions. His 71.6 completion percentage set a single season NFL record at the time. His passer rating was 99.3

Though he only played in two games for 2017 he won both games and completed 32 of 43 passes, good for 74% completion rate,400 yards,3TD and 0INT,124.4 passer rating. In Week 1, on Monday Night Football, Bradford completed 27-of-32 pass attempts,84 percent completion rate, for 346 yards and three touchdowns with a 143 pass rating in a 29–19 win over the New Orleans Saints, earning him his first NFC Offensive Player of the Week award.

Here is my take on this......

Bradford started off in 2010 red hot that year and looked really good. Injuries kept him from reaching his potential from 2011 through 2015.  In 2016/2017 glimpses of the dominant Bradford of his rookie year shone through as for those two years he completed 427 of 595 passes,72.5 percent passes completed,4,260 yards, threw 23TD and 5INT and a 112 passer rating

If Bradford can stay healthy and has weapons he could turn into a really good QB. The only knock on him is durability because in the last couple years when he has played he has done well.

Agreed. He could be really good if he stays healthy.

Guy has made a shitload of cash..........

On July 30, 2010, Bradford signed a six-year, $78 million deal, which has $50 million of guarantees and has a maximum value of $86 million making it the largest contract ever for an NFL rookie.

On March 1, 2016, Bradford signed a 2-year, $36 million ($26 million guaranteed) contract extension with the Eagles

Sam Bradford to Arizona: 1-year for $20M, including $15M guaranteed; 1-year option for $20M, per source.

114 MILLION so far

Guy just instantly became a top 5 QB in the league.  It's inevitable when you walk into a situation surrounded with all that talent.

19-0.

Someone has to finish last in the division, may as well be Arizona.

That's hard to believe he's been in the league since 2010.

Long live SP Nation!!!

AZ went 8-8 last season while being ravaged by injuries and with Blaine Gabbert at the helm.

Somebody try telling me Blaine Gabbert is better than Sam Bradford.  I'm ready to call someone stupid.

AZ will draft the QB of the future.  Just need to sign a couple of veteran QB's.  Bradford not a bad choice if you want to take a flier on a guy to bridge a gap for a year.  Roll the dice.

Considering it didn't take a long-term commitment and a ton of cash he is well worth taking a shot on for a year or two. We have seen him play very well in the times he has been healthy in the past so the potential is there.

If the guys up front can keep him clean with the weapons you guys already have I don't see why he couldn't lead a playoff effort.

After Minn and Cleve, I think Ariz did the best at FA QB derby.   Bradford is a gamble, but a good one with high reward potential.   And while you don't want Glennon to start, he's a decent backup if Bradford isn't healthy, better than Gabbert or Stanton.   They can draft the #4 or #5 QB in the draft also.

They're probably not a playoff team in that division unless Bradford balls out, but they aren't a disaster at QB.   Better than signing McCarron, Keenum, or Bridgewater.

Funny, very funny

To: LiL' Ted       From: housepicks

You know why your daughters boyfriend invited his friend over for Christmas at your house?

Because it takes 2 beaners to fuck her fat ass.

Good thing you’re passed out drunk by then.
