I think most are going to like Minnesota w/ Cousin's but I wouldn't be surprised to see them struggle.  Sometimes too much change is almost as bad as none at all.

I had this same gut feeling. I do think they will have a winning team but most likely fall short deep in the postseason. Minnesota has been snakebit for years deep in postseason. Remember 1998,2010 both years they had a Super Bowl trip in the bag but QB Favre and K Anderson blew it.

And...since Jax should've beaten NE, I'd think they're gonna take the AFC with more experience now under their belts.

But AFC just seems more wide open, no?

Jax definitely could challenge Patriots. So could Tennessee they were one game short of the AFC Championship and Tennessee beat Jax twice last season. Tennessee landed CB Butler and RB Lewis from the Patriots. Titans also tryng hard to sign Ndamnukong Suh but even if they dont they still will be good.

Next season Mariota will be in line to get paid after his 4 years are up. He has a playoff win, most come from behind wins of all QB last season and has led his team to a better record every year he has been starting QB.

Meanwhile.......

I think this season Tennesse could be quite a bit undervalued.  They had a lot of hype last year heading into the season (ended up being on a lot of people's up and coming lists) and I think many people saw them as a bit flat and underperforming for a large part of the season because they didn't win games in "impressive" fashion.

I think this year they are every bit as talented and somewhat deeper now esp if they have a solid draft. A lot of other teams making noise with new QB etc so it sets up perfectly for a well built team like Tenn to fly under the radar.

Tennessee usually does fly under the radar especially when it comes to media attention speaking of which a funny incident happened on twitter yesterday. Deion Sanders has a beef stirred up with Titans safety Kevin Byard over a comment where Deion called Byard a nobody and called Byard just another fan.

Well Byard asked him how that could be because Byard had 8 interceptions last season and Byard led the NFL in interceptions for 2017 season. Byard had 3 interceptions in one game and then the very next game had 2 more interceptions for a total of 5 interceptions in a two-game span something that only five players in history have done and only Byard and Deangelo Hall have done it since 1985 over the past thirty plus years. Byard earned AFC Defensive Player Of The Week on two seperate occassions.

We all know Deion is the but it was never a debate because he didn’t answer the question that I asked Paul. Instead he called me a fan which further proved that he doesn’t watch enough film to make that statement but hey ‍♂, everyone’s entitled to their own opinion

Lost a lot of respect for Deion today. I didn’t realize he could have completely mistook an All-Pro safety for a fan. I expected more from him. Oh well ‍♂

.@DeionSanders was an indisputably spectacular player. He’s not close to same level as an analyst. #Titans fans and @KB31_Era shouldn’t have gotten sucked into his side of nonsensical “debate. “

Stop allowing nobody to become somebody because u gave them a stage. A Nobody needs your attention to become a somebody. The best giftI’ve ever given is the gift of IGNORE! Trust me it’s precious & they will never forget it. #Truth

Bias aside, Tenn really good enough to challenge for it??

Yes and mostly because of two key pieces. QB Marcus Mariota and GM Jon Robinson

I am gonna give you a good in depth reason why i think they can.

The Titans were one game away from playing for the AFC title. Again because of Mariota and Robinson.

Jaguars played Patriots in AFC Championship. Titans beat Jaguars twice last year and now have two key former member of Patriots in Dion Lewis and Malcolm Butler.

Mariota's team was 35-4 in his 4 years playing at Oregon,Robinson's team was 135-41 in his 11 years as director of scouting at New England,Both men were used to winning and not really used to losing and i think they are a great combination. Now you have Mike Vrabel the head coach who was 97-31 in his 8 years playing at New England winning three titles.

In January 2016 Robinson arrived in Tennessee. Robinson immediately set about rebuilding the roster with drastic changes especially since his first move was trading down from the top spot in draft gaining loads of extra picks bringing in through free agency/draft RB Demarco Murray/Derrick Henry. WR Rishard Matthews/Tajae Sharpe  OL Jack Conklin/Ben Jones/Josh Kline. Just like that they had a better offensive line, running game and pass game. On defense S Kevin Byard/CB LeShaun Sims/DT Austin Johnson And the Titans ended up beating numerous playoff bound teams like Denver,Detroit,Miami,Houston,Kansas City and Green Bay and the Packers thought they were gonna kill Tennessee BUT on the first run from scrimmage Demarco Murray runs 75 yards for TD and by the end of the first the score was 21-0. Halftime the Titans were up 35-14. 35 points were most scored in one half that whole year and Tennessee beat Green Bay 47-25 the 47 points were most given up by Packers in 30 years.

2016 Robinson and Mariota's first season together the team had winning season going 9-7 previous 4 seasons were losing ones.

2017 continued turning the roster and this year added WR Corey Davis/Taywan Taylor/Eric Decker. TE Jonnu Smith/Luke Stocker and on defense CB Adoree Jackson/CB Logan Ryan. S Jonathan Cyprien DT Sylvester Williams LB Jayon Brown/Erik Walden as well as special team ace DB Brynden Trawick.

Mariota led the NFL with 5 come from behind games and 5 game winning drives most of any QB

2017 Robinson and Mariota's second season together the team had their second straight winning season going 9-7 again, this time also making the playoffs and winning at Kansas City as Mariota and the Titans had the biggest comeback of any road team in NFL history coming back from 18 points down to win 22-21. Next game lost to Patriots had they won would be AFC Championship bound

GM Robinson decided to change head coaches Mike Mularkey was let go and Mike Vrabel replaced him. Why was Mularkey let go after a winning year/playoffs?  He refused to change things,Mariota regressed badly and offense terrible so changes were made to keep team momentum going and make sure offense improves.

2018 Robinson has signed free agent CB Malcolm Butler giving Tennessee Butler plus CB Logan Ryan was signed year prior both are former Patriots and you have Adoree Jackson drafted year before so Butler/Ryan/Jackson are a strong group of corners for the defense. Robinson signed RB Dion Lewis the most elusive and shifty RB in the league. Lewis/Henry will be a good combo at RB also the Titans resigned DT Daquan Jones and hosted free agent DT Ndamukong Suh who would strongly transform the defense.

The draft has yet to come along so Tennessee will have some more solid players once that happens.

In his third year GM Robinson is still developing the roster making it stronger in all areas.

Team has improved steadily every year under Mariota as well as Robinson.

Already won a playoff game.
