About two months ago I was prepared to leave TGF

Red Rock is a very nice resort.  I prefer it to any place Ive stayed on the Strip.  And I've stayed at 90% of them.

I'd rather stay on the strip.  Of course, if I wasn't going to stay on the strip, I'd rather be at home.  I can get to GVR in a matter of minutes.

There are just more options for everything on the strip.  Restaurants, shows, gambling, etc.

yeah i almost always rent a car but it's safer/better for me to walk to ufc and other events

red rock is nice but it would be pretty inconvenient for stuff like fight week, to drive back and forth every night

son can drive now but i think if something happened the rental coverage/other car insurance wouldn't cover it

Incorrect, he is one of the most sharpest heads at this forum.

i'm kind of a hybrid

most sharps don't pay to stay at places like venetian, ritz-carlton, etc... maybe my brain is messed up but i can grind away some profits and then piss away 10k on a trip like it's nothing

probably because i've seen too many clients die with a big pile that they built up and never spent, if you're a saver and a +ev player then it's difficult to be stupid, gladly i don't have that filter, but i am cheap about certain things

i see it as fun to be able to push the highest priced hotel on expedia for 2 weeks and laugh about it, that's really what landers should've been doing (instead of me) since he didn't pay the credit cards anyway

I rarely go to the very expensive joints anyway.  I'm more of a value seeker.

I will avoid recommending any of the trendy hipster joints since you've probably been to all of them.

I enjoy SPORTING LIFE if you want to watch a game.  Excellent setup with many screens and the food is restaurant quality.  Get the short rib or steak sandwich.  Also get a few deviled eggs.  Bartenders are very attentive, and mostly (if not all) female.

SETTEBELLO near GVR is my fav pizza joint.  Nice looking YOUNG women working there too (if you're into that sort of thing).

TODD's UNIQUE DINING on Sunset.  Has been around awhile.  Very good and underrated.  Go for their excellent happy hour first (lounge only) before sitting down for dinner.

Sporting Life sucks these days. Agree with the setup to watch games, but menu is limited and the one owner who is also a regular bartender is absolutely horrible. Customer service blows and he’s too stupid to realize it.

One big plus about the place is the presence of Euphoria Wellness dispensary next door. Excellent service there and great variety of product.

GD, are you of the same opinion as me on two of the best restaurants in the valley..

No BS, palace station oyster bar, the omelet house on Charleston.

Haven't been to palace since they started the renovations.

Haven't been to omelette house in many years. My food guy says it has gone downhill.

They just opened a second le Thai in that same shopping center as omelette house. The one downtown is excellent.

this is exactly why i've always cringed when people tell me where to eat on a trip... what's good for the goose isn't always good for the gander, and people's experiences are usually pretty limited... guys will recommend 3 restaurants to me in miami but those are the only 3 places they ate there  :laugh

I like Le Thai, their lunch specials are a good deal.
