Mike75
Literally any team could win the division this year...... Colts will have Luck back and they are always a threat when Luck is playing. Texans will have Mercilus/Watt back healthy as well as QB Deshaun Watson who played very well before getting hurt last year. Jaguars have best defense in NFL and could repeat as division champs. Were 10-6 last year Titans were 9-7 BUT could've been 12-4 but on a three game streak they lost games by 5,then by 4 and the last by 2 points and managed to beat Jax twice last year. Won a playoff game on the road at Arrowhead K.C.,Then one step from the AFC Championship lost to Patriots.

Mike75
Ten. I'm always reading great things about their QB. Facts regarding Marcus Mariota..... **Has led the Titans to a better record every year so far in his career. **First QB in NFL history to attain a perfect passer rating in his first regular season game. Became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw four touchdown passes in the first half of his NFL debut. He is also the youngest quarterback to reach the perfect passer rating in his first game as well. **First QB in NFL history to record 6 total touchdown passes within the first two games of his career and 8 total touchdown passes within the first three games of his career. **First rookie QB in NFL history to have two games with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Four games with three or more touchdowns tied Peyton Manning (1998) as the most ever by a rookie QB. **AFC Player of the Week honors for Week One and Week Nine For 2015 Season **Marcus Mariota has never thrown an INT in the red zone. He's a perfect 41-0 TD-INT in his career. **First QB NFL history with 250+ pass yds, 100+ rush yds & 3 TD passes in a game **Became the first NFL player since Walter Payton in the 1983 season to pass for a touchdown, rush for a touchdown and catch a touchdown pass of at least 40 yards during the 2015 season. **1 of 5 QBs in NFL history with 9,000-plus pass yards (9,476) and 900-plus rush yards (913) in first three seasons. **First QB in NFL playoff history to have both a receiving and passing touchdown **Had the longest run of all players for the 2015 NFL season....87 yards. Rare for a QB not RB to have longest run **Was ranked in top ten for Yards/Pass Attempts, Yards/Pass Completed for 2015 season **Was ranked in top ten for passer rating, passing TD, passing TD %, Yds/Pass Attempts, Yds/Pass Completed for 2016 season. **As of Thanksgiving Day,2016 Was the first QB in modern NFL history with six four-TD performances in his first 22 career games. No other QB had more to start a career. **Had 9 games with 100 passer rating/multiple TD’s only Dan Marino,Russell Wilson and Kurt Warner had more in their first 2 seasons at QB. **AFC Offensive Player of the Month for November 2016 and AFC Player of the Week for Week Ten 2016. **Led Titans to 35 points in one half against Green Bay the most scored in one half in 2016 by any team. **Led the NFL with four 4th quarter comebacks and five game winning drives the most of any NFL QB in 2017. **Led biggest NFL road playoff comeback win ever for a QB at Kansas City coming back from 18 down winning 22-21. Not bad for a QB with only 3 years experience.

In 2015 and 2016 ranked in top ten for passer rating, passing TD, passing TD %, Yds/Pass Attempts, Yds/Pass Completed His first two years he achieved both these feats above not easy by any means. Then last year Led the NFL with four 4th quarter comebacks and five game winning drives the most of any NFL QB in 2017. He also ended up leading the team to the biggest playoff comeback ever and so in his first three years he set numerous records, led the Titans to a better record every season that included a playoff victory and one win away from a trip to the AFC Championship game. All the stuff he achieved above was not easy but shows what kind of QB he is. All that in just three seasons.
Mike75
if Luck is fully healthy Colts win it. I agree if Luck is healthy the Colts are a threat to win the division. Never seen a team luckier than Indy. Were able to get two QB back to back in the draft that were considered the best in years at the time they were drafted. BUT we were also able to see how quick the Colts fell apart in 2011 without Manning they were worst in NFL. Soon as they lost Luck they were close to being worst again. Mike75
agree Mike, all of a sudden this is a tough competitive division. Houston also signed the Honeybadger. If healthy he could take their D to another level. 2018 the AFC SOUTH is gonna be very tough. Last year the division had two teams that were among the last 8 teams alive with both Tennessee and Jax winning playoff games. Last year Indy was without Andrew Luck so he will be back making Indy tougher. Houston was without QB Deshaun Watson who was playing MVP level when he tore his ACL early in the season. Also were without Watt who will be back. So in 2018 you will have Tenn/Jax who were in the final 8 last year and Indy/Houston who will both be much better because they will have their QB's healthy. Literally anyone could win it in '
Sharp Square
I don't think a healthy Luck alone really pushes the Colts to the front of the line although as mentioned it gets them into the mix most likely. Their defense is still a bit of a ? mark and the other big one is can they even protect a newly healthy Luck over an entire season. Tennessee and Jacksonville definitely have the talent needed to win it but so does the Texans and when I look at those teams and say who is due for some breaks and which team may finally have a little Mojo go their way and I think it may be the Texans. Going to be a very interesting division race no doubt about it!

Mike75
Some Dallas fans seem to forget Demarco Murray had a career after Dallas Although Murray played 4 years in Dallas. 1 year in Philly.....thats 5 years right there 3 out of 4 of his best career runs were in.....Tennessee where he played just 2 years Longest runs...... Mike75
RB Demarco Murray retiring after a 7 year NFL career. 4 in Dallas, 2 in Tennessee, 1 in Philly Like i said although he spent 4 years in Dallas and only 2 in Tennessee Dallas had the best offensive line in the NFL for years now including 2014 when Murray led NFL in rushing and was OPOY Yet 3 out of 4 of his longest runs were for the Titans
Mike75
Man i can say this i am just glad my team is competitive again. Tennessee was mostly good from 1999 through 2011. Then after that i went through 4 straight losing years. The last two were really bad as the team was 2-14 in 2014 and were 3-13 in 2015 those were some dark ass times. 4 straight losing years including 2-14 and 3-13 in the last two. Then the team drafted QB Marcus Mariota and hired GM Jon Robinson...these 2 changed everything for the better. You guys hear me talk about Mariota a lot but there is another that deserves just as much credit...GM Jon Robinson. When Robinson came in Tennessee was coming off of 2-14 and then 3-13 in Mariota rookie year 2016 Mariota and Robinson first year together the GM promises Mariota weapons and a team that wins,he delivered on both Robinson signed RB Demarco Murray,WR Andre Johnson and one of the Dolphins best WR Rishard Matthews, signed a center Ben Jones,a guard from the Pats Josh Kline and drafted RB Derrick Henry,WR Tajae Sharpe AND.....drafted a good right tackle Jack Conklin to go with left tackle Taylor Lewan. Also drafted S Kevin Byard, CB LeShaun Sims All those players made a difference,a stout offensive line....better receivers.....kickass RB duo because of GM Robinson. The team made a six game improvement and went 9-7 in 2016 including a few close last second comebacks by Mariota Then in 2017 another draft they drafted CB Adoree Jackson,WR Corey Davis,WR Taywan Taylor and LB Jayon Brown and signed a few free agents CB Logan Ryan,DT Sylvester Williams,S Jonathan Cyprien,WR Eric Decker. Second year safety Kevin Byard led the NFL with 8 interceptions.....thanks GM Robinson So we had another 9-7 and made the postseason this time although we should've been 12-4 easily as we let three straight games slip away including losses by 2 points,3 points and 5 points. Anyway Mariota led the NFL and all QB in 2017 with 5 come from behind wins then in the playoffs he had the biggest come from behind road win in NFL playoff history coming back from 18 points to beat Kansas City at Arrowhead one of the loudest toughest places for any team to play. The Titans were one win away from the AFC Championship. Robinson the GM came to the Titans as they were coming off a 3 win season and in just 2 years went from that to being within one win of the AFC title game. Thanks to good free agent decisions and good drafting. Then for 2018 Robinson moved up a lot and although he only had 4 picks there were 2 that were considered 1st round talent and the team got a hell of a deal getting 2 first round prospects LB Rashaan Evans and Harold Landry. Later that night at the draft it was said that both Steelers and Pats were chasing both those linebackers too. In 2018 for free agency they signed CB Malcolm Butler,RB Dion Lewis,OG Xavier Sua’Filo,WR Michael Campanaro,LB Will Compton,DT Bennie Logan and QB Blaine Gabbert They signed a RB Dion Lewis to help Derrick Henry and also got a good backup QB Blaine Gabbert. They sign CB Malcolm Butler to help out in secondary with Logan Ryan his former teammate in New England. Every year since being a rookie Mariota has led Tennessee to a better record each year. Last year ended up one step from the AFC Championship How will this year end????? PFT said that the Tennessee Titans were the most improved team in their division for 2018. What the Titans are aiming for this year is a third straight winning season and a return to the playoffs. Since joining Tennessee in January 2016 two and a half years ago Robinson has done an excellent job turning the franchise around and making things better. There are several nicknames for Jon Robinson like ‘The Wolf On Wall Street’ among others but my favorite is…..’The Robfather’

JAKEPEAVY21
I'll go with the Texans in hopes that Watson can stay healthy all season.
Mike75
The thing with Houston is this....they have issues at OL, S, TE, RB, and CB. Everyone is excited about the flashes that Watson had last year but QBs rarely drag teams to the playoffs despite the misconception. Look at Seattle, they were better at every one of those positions than the Texans (except arguably OL) and they still missed the playoffs despite MVP-like performances on a week to week basis from Russell Wilson. Indy also has deep holes in a few places but Luck is a heck of a QB and can get them at least to .500 Jax has put together a real good defense but in the end last year Bortles was their undoing. Will be again this year. Not saying Tennessee is gonna win the division. They didn't come out of nowhere like last years Jags, The Titans have been on a slow upward trajectory the past few seasons because of the work put in by GM Jon Robinson. When he started in 2016 between free agency/draft he was able to do a good enough job that the Titans went 9-7 in 2016,then in 2017 the Titans with Robinson still rebuilding went 9-7 again along with making the playoffs and winning a playoff game. In Robinsons third year the Titans are gunning for a third straight winning season and back to back playoff appearances. The reason for optimism..... The Jags BARELY/LUCKILY won the division with 10-6 record. Although Tennessee was 9-7 they actually swept the Jaguars in both division games and should've been 12-4 but in a three game span they lost by 2 points, lost by 3 points and lost by 4 points all games were back to back. Kicked what should've been a game winning FG at 49ers with 50 seconds left up by 1 point 23-22 and when the 49ers got ball back Jimmy G led them up the fielf and their kicker kicked game winner as time expired. Titans fired the main thing holding them back and that was former head coach/offensive playcaller Mike Mularkey especially his awful offensive philosophy. So the Titans bring in a new offensive leader Matt LaFleur who had a hand in guiding the Rams to number one offense last year after having the worst the year before. Cut Demarco Murray who was hurt all last year bring in a new RB Dion Lewis to help Derrick Henry and they are second and third most elusive runners last year. Let go of Dick Lebeau leader of defense and hired Dean Pees former Ravens/Patriots coordinator. First round pick last year WR Corey Davis will be fully healthy after missing a lot of last year. He showed how good he could be late in the year especially at New England in the playoffs where he caught a couple TD passes. Needed linebacker help so they traded up in the draft and were able to land what many consider two of the best linebackers in the draft in Rashaan Evans and Harold Landry. Both were projected to be first round picks. New England/Pittsburgh were also after both players and traded back after coming up empty when Tennessee drafted. Mariota will be fully healthy. Last year he was coming off a big injury that messed up his prep time before the season. Have a better backup QB Blaine Gabbert. Last season Tennessee had one game they lost that shouldve easily been won and it wasnt because the Titans had backup Matt Cassell playing because Mariota was hurt. Cassell was terrible did nothing to help in Mariotas absence. Out of all AFC South teams top to bottom the best roster is Tennessee's. Mike75
Since 2006, no quarterback has been hit as he threw in the first five seasons of his career more than Colts signal caller Andrew Luck.
