FairWarning
My old HS is combining with another school to field a team. I suspect 8-man teams will get bigger and bigger in smaller communities.

Machiavelli
High school and youth football THRIVING in this powerhouse section of the country Really? I was looking at nbcnews website and they were saying something about some schools having to abandon programs. Didn't realize other parts were thriving strongly. Guess once those start having issues, then the game will really be in serious long term trouble.

Downsouth
Meanwhile, the parents are a bunch of fat fucks. They should put themselves on a workout regimen.True. I definitely could use starting a workout regimen but would never dream of putting my 7 year old on one. I wont even let him play travel ball when the slimey coaches come around and ask. Always Call Heads
Football is never going to lose much popularity. It will just change. It's already basically flag football. They will barely let you sack the QB. They just have to change tackling methods and take off most of the pads so that they don't fly at each other full speed. Always Call Heads
Rugby? Yeah, pretty much. That is how it should be played anyway. But they have huge concussion problems in rugby too.

I thought I read the opposite....something about the lack of helmets make people protect themselves more or something. Idk been a while. Maybe I misread. I thought I read the opposite....something about the lack of helmets make people protect themselves more or something. Idk been a while. Maybe I misread. I don't think they have as many but it is still a problem. Hard to not have helmets and avoid concussions. But apparently helmets are not that helpful with concussions. They just prevent skull fractures.

Always Call Heads
The whole problem the NFL has now is that they've got too many fat guys out there. You can't move the ball when the whole field is covered. When you take down the pads and get smaller players, it is going to get wild.
