My worst Daytona in 13 years of posting Nascar picks. Ended up with 3 wins and 10 losses in matchups and 0 for 3 in win bets.

I bet the sportsbooks made a killing with Logano winning. As he said in victory lane Daytona is one of his least successful tracks.

Dominating the way he did was a huge surprise. No past or current info pointed to him running up front like he did.

On to Atlanta!!!

The Group odds bet in Nascar is where it's at. It's an absolutely beatable bet for a yearly profit.

Almost next to impossible to predict winners for any kind of yearly profit.

The thing with the group odds is, the odds have gotten worse every year since it started being offered. I remember the first year I ever saw the option all 5 drivers would be between +300 and +475

I actually saw a book this weekend that had all 5 drivers in 2 of 3 groups between +200 and +275:laugh

Next up is Atlanta.

Since 2011 Phoenix had been the 2nd race on the schedule. They changed things around so that all 3 west coast races, Phoenix, Vegas and California are run in consecutive weeks now. A west coast swing. Great idea especially for the hauler drivers.

The new rule changes this year, less horsepower and a smaller rear spoiler, will show up in this race. Speeds will be down a little. The car balance and setup will change. Got to pay very close attention to all the practice and qualifying info when a big rules change like this happens. Some teams will figure it out faster than others.
