MonkeyF0cker
It's not the player's job to watch the market to see what's a bad line and what isn't. It's the fucking book's job. Especially in live betting where there are seconds to place a wager.
Tomorrow's Newspaper
im sure if someone bet the other side of that game, that the casino hunted them down to give them a refund
Shavencoinpurse
Do any of you idiots think that if that bets loses that he gets refunded? LOL.That is why only a fool bets in to a bad line.......

MonkeyF0cker
That is why only a fool bets in to a bad line....... No, dipshit. Only fools support a book freerolling players. You seriously think everyone is going to check other markets before placing all of their live wagers? LOL. Just dumb beyond belief. People sometimes bet the wrong side of that "bad line" too. How do you suppose someone who had a ticket written at the window would ever know that a live wager was being refunded?

Bump City
If I post the price of something wrong in a store should I have to sell it at that price? I'd say no.

Posting a price and selling it at an agreed upon price are two different things. Good luck taking the item back once it is already paid for and leaves the store. They most certainly come back looking for that money.

Why do all of you people want to argue for other players to get freerolled? It's incredible.
MonkeyF0cker
I bet the wrong side of a game at DSI on Saturday because they had the names of the teams reversed on a 2H wager, I immediately contacted support to see if they would cancel my wager. No. Final sale. Can't cancel it. But they can cancel their own fucking errors? GTFOH.

I just looked at it like they ATM agreed to give me $100 dollars but glitched and gave me $10k instead. Do I have to give it back?

Shavencoinpurse
I just read the article at espn and there are soo many things wrong with this. First of all, he bet it when the Broncos were already in FG range down 2. The real line should have been -600 and was posted at +75000... ridiculous. he knew he was taking a shot and a ridiculous line... BUT the kicker is.... I assumed it was put in on an app online.. It was placed over the counter. Is that clerk retarded? He is clearly fired or was in on it...... If I was the book, I would fire the clerk on the spot and compensate the bettor favorably but not pay the ridiculous bet.....

And again, just speaking in hypotheticals. Let's say they got a lot more down than the $100 plus or whatever it was. What if it was a larger 5 figure amount that would have basically bankrupted the book. Should they still pay it?

Did not realize it was when they already were in FG range. Makes really no difference on what people are arguing though. The question is should books have to pay when they post bad lines. Books in the UK are basically deposit only. They aren't markets. They don't have the regulations that we have in Nevada that protect the player to a degree. Books in Nevada are bonded. If a $5k bet is going to bankrupt a book, they shouldn't be in business in the first place. They don't know how to set limits or lines properly. If someone fat fingers a market sell order of 1 million shares of Apple tomorrow, they aren't getting a refund or a do over.
Shavencoinpurse
Apparently it was a computer glitch that was up for only 18 seconds. A few small bets were made and Fanduel paid them out on the real -600 line and not the +75000 line.

I'm sure you're interested. Typical Euro trash bookmaking.
