MonkeyF0cker
One of the saddest things I’ve seen were guys live betting the NBA games at the Tuscany. They were all clustered around the monitors off to the side watching the numbers and running up to the windows making $5-$10 bets screaming and swearing the whole time.Haha. For sure. I used to love when Tuscany was Cal-Neva in the back corner. Easy to get in and out quickly. Usually some pretty abysmal characters hanging in the book there though. Inkwell77
I would never ever defend a book for the way they absolutely steal from players in the futures markets (except for possibly Pinnacle, I have never played there, but it seems pretty damn impressive and a hard book to talk shit about) This is a new sportsbook obviously, but FanDuel has been stealing from fantasy players for years so I no reason to defend their fuckup. Number one rule in bookmaking (imo). If you book a bet you pay the bet.
Dark Raver Camper
The guy who bet is playing it well as if he had a script book.
sports j
Back in the day, I would have bet under key and cashed at the cage at night.tried that one time but cage wouldn't pay out because winning tickets was over 500. Inkwell77
How are you doing with the college football teasers so far this season Wiener? I know people have been forever talking shit about these. But there are some subsets where these teasers have been profitable of a long period. jasson621
What is to prevent a mole from another Shop to have a guy get a job with a competitor and post a line +1,000,0000 on GS at home against Phoenix to try and bankrupt them if this guy is paid the 82k? Another scenario what is to prevent a rogue employee posting the same thing above so one of his friends can bang it then move it back and say oops sorry, or just some pissed random dipshit who might do it out of spite? These are extreme scenarios but so is +75,000 on a coin flip.
MonkeyF0cker
Software, management oversight, and prison can deter that from occurring.

Most dealt with collusion between employees and customers, the quinella scandal at the Palms dated back over a decade and was just resolved in the past year or so. Machiavelli
When I read this, I was thinking the dude was a scumbag shot-taker. But Monkey's arguments in the thread are strong. If anything, the place should have something written in their policy that calls for like (3x the amount of what shouldve been the line on stuff like this) or something where the player gets rewarded well above the should've been line....as it wasn't their fault a bad number was hung. theguesser
This is EXACTLY how FanDuel should have handled it. The positive PR they will get for this will be worth far more than the amount they paid out today. I hope they come to New York State soon. I'll reward them with becoming a customer. Their football lines look pretty good: https://sportsbook.fanduel.com/sports http://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/24744967/fanduel-pay-man-full-82000-disputed-bet
MonkeyF0cker
They didn't have a choice. The company initially refused to pay the bet placed at its sportsbook at the Meadowlands Racetrack, saying it isn't obligated to pay for obvious errors. But FanDuel reversed field after consulting with state gambling regulators. http://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/24744967/fanduel-pay-man-full-82000-disputed-bet They would have stiffed if they could have.
