I didn't have high expectations, but I didn't expect them to be bottom of the league, non competitive. Getting killed by a fantastic Rams on the road wasn't unexpected, but getting blown out by the crap Redskins at home was, so what's the deal? I see they're 6.5 home dogs to the Bears at home. While i respect the Bears a lot, that seems way too high and too much of an overreaction. So before I pull the trigger, I want to know if they're just a dead team and a waste to bet on, from those familiar with what's going on with them. But I will give you the top 3 reasons they look like the worst team in the NFL right now. 1. Coaching - This is a team that won 8 games last season with shit QB's and no David Johnson. Why? Because they have a lot of talent on defense and played well on that side of the ball most of the year. This year, they look like complete garbage with much of the same pieces. Why? Coaching and scheme. The new coaching staff has done a horrible job installing and implementing their new defense. It's an absolute abortion. And offensively it's very vanilla and unimaginative. They have one of the best weapons in the NFL in the backfield, and they don't even know how to use him. 2. Worst WR corps in the NFL - Outside of Fitz (who is banged up now), this group is complete garbage. Nobody is open downfield. They need to bring someone else in because these guys are absolute trash. 3. QB play - While I'll agree that Bradford has looked bad, I won't put it all on him. That's why I have this at #3 instead of #1. But even though I don't completely blame him for the start, he certainly hasn't helped. He's normally very accurate when he gets time in the pocket. And the few times he has had the time, he's missed some open guys. I'm not quite ready to go to Rosen yet. Not this week. Not against that Bears defense that has been teeing off on QB's. Let's let Sam get his teeth kicked in the next few games, then go to Rosen the 2nd half of the season. With almost the same talent. I could make a fantastic argument they have more talent this season. And they won 8 games. While so far this season, they look at best the 2nd worst team in the NFL. But that's not shocking as they might be the Super Bowl favorites right now. Bad example to use that game. Washington is a better example. If you watched that game and thought the AZ coaching staff did a good job with the game plan, then you simply don't know football as well as you think you do. The Redskins completely embarrassed the Cardinals on their own field in every aspect. This is the NFL. Every one of those players are pros. Coaching matters.
