I don't mind putting $2 into a pool but that's about it. so they take out 50% of every dollar and where does that money go to? then if you want the lump sum they take out another close to 50% and where does that money go to? then you have to pay huge taxes on that and where does that money go to? PB and MM are huge cash grabs for the government. That's why I stick with scratchers with 80+% payouts. At least those are a better bet with better odds to hit a mill. The establishment that sells the winning ticket in Mich gets an insanely low amount ($2500 I believe), while Illinois and other states pay 1%. Huge difference there.
